I applied for this credit card because I thought that it would benefit the NRA, Big mistake! Right from the onset, I did not recieve a statement. At some point I recieved a call from them stating I was late and that I had to pay a late fee, I expressed my anger at the fact that I did not receive a bill. It took some wrangling but they agreed to waive the fee.

What I found odd was that they would not tell me where they mailed the statement to but insisted that I tell them first. They attempted to blame the mail system and / or my my post office for not getting the statement to me. Again recently, I realized that I had not recieved a statement in some time, I called them to get to the bottom of it, more evasive tactics.

Representative stated that I also needed to pay their $25.00 late fee. I was livid and stated that I would run to the bank before they close, put some money in my account to cover the balance and pay this off in full minus the late fee. Woman stated that they would continue sending me statements, and if I didn't pay it, they would harm my credit rating.

I rushed to town before my bank closed, wrote a check, with a note stating I was paying under protest. I also included the late fee since I feared they would follow through with their threat to harm my credit. I also promised I would be filing complaints with various agencies regarding their business practices, this didn't seem to phase them in the least.

When I returned home, I immediately went online to see if there were other people having issues with this company only to discover that there were many online complaints, some of them similar to mine.

I called them again, and got a representative that seemed to care about my concerns, (the first representative couldn't care less, and stated she could not secure a supervisor).

After a few seconds, a supervisor / manager came on the phone, (I had to explain the same issue all over again) he assured me that when my payment arrives that he would personally see to it that a refund check for the late fee be sent to me.

Based on this track record involving First Bankcard, I am convinced that these predators purposely try to trip up their customers in order to bilk them out of their money, charging additional fees.

To add insult to injury, if I had not picked up on this tactic in this time around, my interest rate would have also gone from 5.99% to a whopping 29.99%! I believe that was the plan all along!

Advise to consumers is to run, don't walk away from these predatory vultures! I am in hopes that the authorities will step in soon, fine them, and shut them down promptly. I am also in hopes that a Class Action Lawsuit be filed against them so consumers will no longer experience what I and many other consumers have experienced.

I am also considering reversing my membership with the NRA since I am extremely dissappointed that they would do business with such a shady outfit, putting their customers through what we and others have been through.

First of all you don't know me from adam, just who do you think you are? I'll tell you what you are, it is likely that you are a poster boy for the legitimate complaints on this site and on line. You are of the evil twisted mindset that believes the consumer should be a good little chump, and take the lumps that your twisted little world feeds us.

You resent that there are sites like Rip Off Report and others on an ultruistic mission to level the playing field protecting consumers from the likes of people like you! You resent the very fact that consumers who are being mistreated have a place to go to for relief. 

It is likely that you refer to such a person as a whiner, because consumer advocate sites pose an inconvenience that stands in  the way of your agenda. Must be a real drag to be held accountable for your misdeeds huh?

Yes, you go off on a lunatic rant on someone you have no clue about, more likely than not because you are a clueless fool out to protect your own agenda to abuse others with your schemes. I have been in business 32 years next month, and I can assure my little unconscious caveman that I didn't get here from there by constant whining!

So you can strole down the yellow brick road little Dorothy, and you can take Toto and your selfish, self centered, narsiistic agenda with you! You know what you can do with your foolhardy assumptions of me, you insensitive Redneck! You don't know my history with these people, and quite frankly, its none of you d**n business!

For all I know you probably fit the profile of the very theives that consumers complain about. Just who appointed you sensor of the internet? And who are you to say that all who make their greivances known are whiners and troublemakers?

First of all, I am not a huge proponent of the information age. For you to assume that everyone on planet earth is a tech wizzard zombie texting their life away is a fools assumption. I use technology as little as I can get away with, and last I checked, it is still my right not to be a slave to your tech God! According to you a statement is a four letter word, in my world it serves as a reminder.

You abviously have a problem with that and thats too bad, its none of your business. I gladly provide our customers with invoices for services, they have a right to expect it. And if they don't get an invoice, I don't get paid, its that simple, and I certainly don't and never would charge them a fee for something that was my negligence, or out of their control, period!

This simple business practice should never go out of fashion But according to you, "Great King Of The Outhouse," this simple practice doesn't matter. According to you we all must bow to your great tech God in exchange for simple and affective business practices that work just fine if implemented.

You are more likely than not, a tech Zombie who texts on a toilet, or arrogant enough to display your conversation for all to hear in a restaurant while others are trying to enjoy a peacful meal. Since you have obviously made technology your idle and God, you expect everyone to be a slave as yourself!

NewsFlash! Not everyone on the planet is a slave to your God my little unconscious friend! There remains much to be said for old fashioned business practices and principles, sorry to disalusion you. What are you going to do when the grid goes down, and your tidy little techy world crumbles, you fool?

Don't think it can happen, do yourself a favor, and remember this rebuttle to your fools rant when it does. Don't sit there and tell me I should conduct my affairs as you do, you idiot! You can keep your foolhardy instructions to yourself, because not everyone is interested!

And by the way, I am never late to pay my bills, so who the hell are you to label me irresponsible you idiot! You want to talk about excuses, what is your excuse for being a total moron, got an app for that fool?? Didn't your mommy ever tell you that bullies always meet their match?

Maybe she forgot to tell you that attempting to force your assumption on others is a fools mission. Or maybe its not your fault, perhaps you were dropped on your head, and now believe everyone should fall in step with your unconscious beliefs... 

If the shoe fits wear it with arrogance, that should not be too difficult for you! Now go in your cave like a good little trol, and don't forget your cell phone and the broom you stole from the wicked witch...

 So basically YOU whined your way out of paying a late fee. It ALWAYS surprises me when someone like YOU gets on the web and WHINES!!! YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR BILLS ARE DUE!!!! Playing the victim in the information age is almost impossible. YOU had MANY MANY chances during the month to hop on their website and view not only the amount due but the dates involved. YOU DID NOT DO YOUR PART!!!!!! let me guess.. YOU are "oh so very busy" or "You don't have time for little things like responsibility" its the most common EXCUSE used by people like yourself. Not once in your post do YOU take ANY responsibility for YOUR BILL PAYING!!! No you do the other thing. YOU whined like a child because YOU were late with YOUR PAYMENT and THEY BOUGHT IT!!!! But you wont get ANY more passes from them. Thankfully your next phone call to cry to them so they will waive YOUR LATE FEE is going to fail. You ONLY get one. What is YOUR EXCUSE going to be next month?? Your cat ate your cellphone? Your computer was infected with the skynet virus? What sob story are YOU going to use next time that MIGHT make them buy the simple fact that YOU ARE LATE PAYING BILLS!!!!! I mean at some point you HAD to look at that credit card as YOU were using it and go "Hmmm, I haven't seen a bill from them". Yes they SHOULD send you a bill. BUT!!! YOU are RESPONSIBLE for paying said bill. YOU can look on the web and find their site and set up an account to view your current credit bill. All YOU have done with YOUR post is show that YOU are LESS then adult. YOU POUTED AND GOT YOUR WAY!! Just like the child you have acted like. However the TRUTH about YOU we will NEVER know. We as well as the credit card company ONLY have YOUR WORD that what YOU have posted is 100% truthful and factual. Im a betting man and Im pretty sure that at least 40% of your post is made up crap to make yourself look like a better victim. GET OVER IT PRINCESS!!! ITS CALLED THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS!!! Didn't mommy ever explain this to you???? If YOU don't want to pay a $25 late fee, then AS the person whos responsibility it is to pay said bill, you PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME!!!!!! All YOU have shown the web is that YOU SCAMMED your way out of paying a late fee.
