First Capital Consumers Group RIPOFF consumer fraud rip-off Toronto Ontario

I was called on May 13, 2002 by Robert Cooper and he said I was approved for the credit card I had applied for. (actually, I didn't apply for THAT credit card, and I believe my information was somehow retrieved when I was applying for the legitimate card I now have)

Believing this was the deal I had applied for, I readily gave my bank account number for $199 to be debited for "startup" fees. The following week, I got my legitimate card and quickly started calling First Capital Consumers Group, leaving numerous messages every day. After awhile, I just got a message that the voicemail system was full.

I then searched for more information about this company on the internet and found this site. My heart sank when I read the numerous reports that have been filed on this company. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, but only got an emailed response saying they couldn't help me.

I just gave up at that point, until tonight I thought I'd check on this site again and found that people were actually getting reimbursed. I hope I will be one of those lucky people!
