I had a terrible experience with First Data Global Leasing this morning. I have renewed my credit card machine lease. I have the new equipment & sent the old equipment back. UPS showed First Data receiving the old equipment on February 16th. I have a letter stating I would be debited $40.94(plus taxes) on the 5th of every month. First Data charged me that plus a $16.38 interim rent payment on February 5th, 2012. They also charged me $60.40 on February 8th, 2012 for 2011 & 2012 annual fee. I asked why I'm being charged for 2012 when I'm not using the equipment, they said they have to charge it even if I use it for one day in 2012. I asked if I should expect anymore charges for February 2012. I was told no. I was told that's all I would be charged.
This morning, February 28, 2012, I have a pending charge of $43.40 from First Data Global Leasing. I called to find out why. The girl I spoke with said I never returned my equipment. This charge is for the old equipment. I read her the tracking number from UPS. She looked it up & she acknowledged that it was returned to a different location on February 16th. She said it was my responsibility to call First Data to let them know the tracking number. What? I said that is not my job. I said an employee of First Data received the equipment. It was their job to record it.
I also asked that since the charge is pending, can they put a stop payment on it. She said no all they can do is credit my account. She said it would take 7 business days. I said that my payment on the new lease will come out in the mean time. So I will have $87 out of my account for a few days. I said it was terrible. I was astounded at the disorganization. She never even apologized. I told her I haven't had a problem in 4 years, why am I having such a problem now? She said it happened in another location, she had no control over it. I said she is representing First Data & would like an answer. I was upset about this situation. She told me she's hanging up on me because "we are talking in circles". That's exactly what she did. I have been in customer service for many years & this is one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered.

I had a similar experience. This company held my payment due to me from one of my customers. Its been over 3 weeks and they still have not released the funds to my bank account. They keep charging me a ton of fee's. This has caused my bank account to go into the negative by over $1400. They will not help me with any bank fee's. How do i stop this? How do i get them to take care of my bank fee's that they have caused? My money was to be posted in my bank account 24 hours after the transaction which was made on October 10th 2012. It is now October 20th! My money is still not in my bank account and my account is overdrawn by them from taking out all these hidden fee's!!!!! Someone please help me.
