My transmission went out. I had my car towed to a dealership in my town. They contacted FirstExtended Service and was given a auth. number to begin work.
When the work was done I had to pay out of my pocket all expenses, being told that I would be reimbersed by First Extended Service minus my deductable.
I did everything they asked of me. When I got the checks in they added up to $2747. and some change. The bill was 3396.97 The explanation I got was reasonable cost and no sales tax. My contract said nothing of the sort only $50.00 deductible
They gave me what they thought it should cost. So plus my $50.00 deductible I am out $650.00 because taxes and labor don't mean anything

Report to Manufacturer

One thing you can do is report to the manufacturer of the car, especially if you bought the vehicle new. Like GM, they sells their of Extended warranties.
The dealer sell you a generic warranty because it only costs them $400 to $500 dollars and they sell it to you for $1200 to $2000, lot of profit to be made.
Tell GM, FORD, or whoever you will not buy anymore cars from them if their dealer does not stop this practice . . . hit them in the $$$$$
