i was contacted on monday july 25th. the woman actually asked for my 16 year old daughter. i asked who was calling and she told me she was from this first national government grant office and that she was entitled to get a grant for 12,000 dollars. i told her that she was a minor and i was her daughter. whe proceeded to tell me that i could get it in my name . this woman was clearly NOT american. i had trouble understanding her. she said i would have to pay a 29.99 dollar processing fee and would recieve all of my info by cerified mail about 3 days after payment. she kept stressing that this was a bank to bank transaction. i asked her if i could send a money order and of course she said no. she asked me for my bank info and i told her i didnt have my purse handy. she said she would wait for me to go and get it. i lied and told her i was in bed ill and couldnt go down the stairs to get it. she asked when she could call me back to get the info. i asked her to give me the mailing address and she did. she gave her name as jennifer jones. i laughed because she had the same last name as mine. she would not give me their phone number. she told me that it would be of no use to me because without a confirmation number the call wouldnt go through and she couldnt give me a confirmation number until she got my account info. i flat out told her that i did not like to give out that kind of info unless i could check credentials. i told her i would call the better business office and she said by all means please do so. she is supposed to call me back next week. i told her i wont have any money until then. i am so glad i found this site and am glad i see that indeeed this is a scam. thank you.
