I filled out an application and they sent me a credit card and a statement saying that my credit limit was $250. Then they said that my balance was $179 and i had a creditlimit of $71. Now they are sending me a bill  saying that i owe them $209.47 for a new balance and i have never even used the card, so what i am i supposed to do?

***READ*** the Terms & Conditions from now on

AUTHOR: Violet - (USA)

I am sorry you are in this predicament, but if you had read the terms and conditions of the offer -- all that tiny type --- you would have known the contract you were entering into provided explicitly that your initial credit line would be $71 with the associated fees for BEING extended credit card privileges.

I know the tiny type sucks, but wow, it sure is informative.  You legally are obligated to pay this debt as for what are you supposed to do.  Sorry but that's the cost of wilfully choosing not to read contracts.
