Five Star Placement - Jon Rios Google Services Garden Grove California

I was contacted by Jon Rios and persuaded to use their services on Google, for Lead Generation.  I was told that by purchasing their services, they could guarantee that anytime someone searched for a Realtor in my area - that MY NAME would appear at the top of the Google search.  This was in Sept. 2014

I was further told that I could cancel the service within 30 days, and have no further billing - if I was not satisfied with the service.   And, I was not under any contract and could cancel at anytime in the future, by just calling.

Considering these terms, I agreed to try the service, but requested a different search phrase, because the one Jon offered did not fit me.   He indicated that he would change it - which he did not.  I was promised someone would contact me and review with me,  how the search would work.   That never happened either.   So I had no way of knowing that my search phrase was not what I requested

I never received 1 contact via the Google search provided.   I called, 1 day before my 30 days was up, to the phone # that Jon had provided to go directly to him - only to get his answering machine.   I left him a message telling him of my dissatifaction and desire to cancel any future service.   Since I had reached his answering maching, I called their Toll-Free number for customer service, and reached another answering machine.   I left a message stating that I wanted to cancel the service and please return my call.

I never received any acknowledgement, and the charges continued.   I called again the next time I received a charge, only to, once again, get nothing but answering machines.   I had extensive surgery, and for over 2 months was unable to follow up or even think about Google Search.   

In January 2015, I was still getting charges, and did not remember the company was called Five Star Placement.  I remembered Google Search.    I had to contact my CC company to find out what the charges were for.  Finally, I remembered the whole ordeal and went searching further for Jon Rios & Five Star Placement.  But now his direct line did not say he was with Five Star Placement.  I continued calling the Customer Service - always getting an answering machine.  I advised my CC company that the charges were inappropriate, and they contacted Five Star.   Miraculously, Five Star produced a contract - that "I" had never seen, and indicated that I only needed to contact them to cancel.  They further stated that I had never contacted them! ( I have phone records to prove otherwise.)

I immediately searched further for the 1 email that Jon had sent to me - which was an email to invoice me for the 1st initial charges.  The invoice never stated the search phase that I was paying for - which was never the search phrase I requested!  I paid for something I never agreed to.   I emailed Jon, providing him with my phone records to show I had called to cancel.   He informed me that they had never received such a request, and that if I hung up without leaving a message - there was nothing they could do to help me!!!  But they were "now" canceling my service!

This company is conveniently always unavailable!   I hope any future customers will read this and consider the consequences before agreeing to any service.   They make it sound so easy to cancel, if you will "just try the service for 1 month".   Don't be fooled.  They won't acknowledge you cancelation requests! I paid for 6 months @$199/mo not counting initial set-up charges of $99.
