Flextronics Eric Hemady, Was told that flextronics was opening an office nearby and that this was an at home position till they opened. Then was told that I needed start up equipment so they were going to send me a check. Denver, Colorado Internet

Applied for a receptionist job on CL. Received an email that apolgized for the delay and that I appeared qualified for the job. Was told to contact an eric.hemady@yahoo.com for an interview. Spoke to him for an hour and got the job. Told me to send him my information to send over a check for start up supplies. Four days later I got a check sent through FedEx and the sender was Foreign Currency Fee Litigation Settlement Fund and it was a settlement claim payment. Sketchy as hell! He asked me when the soonest I could cash it was and I told him that I wasn't going to because it was fraudulent. Asked him to have someone call me and no one did. Not even an email. Total scam! What a waste of time! Guys watch out there! This guy seemed legit for a hot minute. Never doing anything like that again.

I am not sure who was trying to scam you but know that anytime you are contacted by a Flextronics employee their email will be firstname.lastname@flextronics.com or if they are international there may be a in.flextronics.com or something like that. You will never have an encounter with a legit Flex employee that uses yahoo as an email address. I am going to see if we can investigate who is using the Flextronics name to try to run a scam.
