Floor and Decor Eco Bamboo Flooring Defective Clearwater Florida

Requested flooring that was durable scratch resistant against aactive family with children and pets.

Floor and Decor recommended Eco Bamboo Flooring in dark finish. Used the top of the line barrier/underlayment.

Upon installation, product scratched extensively, saw finish variations and inconsistencies, not in the wood color but in the finish itself along with chipping, was not interlocking properly and saw coupling right off the bat. Left the product in the environment for 1 month before install for acclimation. Did proper moisture testing and prepared the surface properly with a quality installer. Contacted Floor and Decor, advised of issue. They kindly explained all I needed was a wood specialist to deem the floor defective with report, cost -  $250.00.

Looked for one in the phone book and they instantly found the floor to be defective but what was even most interesting, was it wasn't his first one. Apparently this is a "known" defective product, they are still selling. Provided all documentation to Floor and Decor as requested for a full refund of product, installation and removal costs as well as wood specialist as promised by Supervisor. As of today (it has been nearly 9 months) I am still FIGHTING to get this honored!

They say they will call back....never do. They will research, never do.. Now I am considering contacting an attorney. I am a single mom with two children who cannot afford to be taken advantage of. Bad business.

BYER BEWARE, do not use Floor and Decor if you wish to have a warrenty or a company that backs the product they sell.
