Florida First Financial Group Ripoff Harrassment Threats Looking into my credit report illegally Personal Attack to Credibility Tampa Florida

On June 4, 2007, I received a letter from this company saying that I owed $3,607.53 to Sun Cove Realty, which is the property management company that managed the last apartment I lived in.

The problem is, I don't owe this money to Sun Cove. I am in the process of suing them just to get my security deposit back, because I terminated my lease using my tenant rights that were specifically outlined in the lease that I signed.

The letter was a "NOTE OF INTENT TO CEASE COMMUNICATIONS". It stated that they were attempting to collect a debt and unless I settle and pay right now, that Sun Cove would be pursing a lawsuit against me.

So, I decided to call and dispute the charge, because it also said it would be going on to my credit report - which wouldn't be fair since I don't owe the debt to begin with!! I mean, the last sentence in the letter is: "YOUR FAILURE TO ACT RESPONSIBLY HAS CAUSE THIS COURSE OF ACTION. PAY YOUR OBLIGATION NOW!"

Are they serious? They don't even know my history, or whether or not I've "acted responsibly". So I called the person whose name on the letter is "Alex King".

This "Alex King" must have been the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my life. I couldn't get a word in edgewise, he threatened me with legal action, and pulled up my credit report while we were on the phone and told me that the unpaid medical bills for my sick daughter made me irresponsible, and personally attacked my character. It was actually kind of emotionally devastating, I was shaking by the time the conversation had ended. Those "unpaid medical bills" were supposed to be covered by my insurance company, so I've had to spend the last 5 years working on my credit report and score.

When I told him that I planned to sue Sun Cove to recover my deposit, he laughed at me and told me that I had to be stupid to try something like that because I would not win. Then he told me that "as we speak" he is putting the debt on my credit report and then told me he is "ceasing and desisting" the conversation.

He was literally yelling at me and would not even hear what I had to say.
