Foreman Motors Unfair business practices. Melbourne Florida

I traded a van I had in as a down payment on a bigger van that I needed. Unlike some consumers on here I did read through the paperwork despite how quickly they were trying to get me to sign. I took the vehicle on a test drive and it seemed in decent condition. I have bad credit and decided even though I'd be paying way more than what the vehicle was worth that this would be a good way to rebuild credit. Not a week into driving this van the issues began. It overheated. The doors sometimes wouldn't unlock leaving me locked out of the car or having to keep the doors unlocked. The passenger side headlight flew off which led me to discover neither of the headlights were bolted down. The engine started knocking. I took it in for repairs at foreman because having read the paperwork my "warranty" stated that foreman motors would pay for half the parts and labor. They claimed the repairs were made and I paid my half and drove the vehicle for about another week before the overheating started again. Then the heater stopped working and the engine was knocking again. This time I took it to a repair shop I trusted. They tell me the engine is shot and leaking oil and I don't have long before it seizes up on me. I took it back to foreman and their mechanic argued the findings of my mechanic. To make a long story short the engine did seize up on me and I wound up getting it to the foreman lot. I was so upset with the whole thing I refused to keep it and asked for my old van back. I was told since I was past thirty days of owning they couldn't give me my old van back but I could sign the new one over to them and be done with the whole thing. I agreed and learned my lesson. I'll never go to a place like that again. I actually can believe they're getting away with all this because like their obviously fear mongering employee Jim states on every complaint on this site, it's our responsibility to read contracts. They told me I couldn't take the van to have it inspected by my own mechanic and I should have walked away. Lesson learned. I just hope these guys don't stay in business. It's a shame. They're basically feeding off of poor people that are already in a desperate place. What's worse is even if these guys got shut down there'll be another auto dealer just like them opening up and taking advantage of consumers in just as many dirty ways.
