All over this web site there is a repeated phrase, "free credit report in seconds." I gave all of the necessary information, including my credit card numbers.
After submitting all of that information a new window popped up asking me for my private access number that would be e-mailed to me in 7-10 business days.
I don't know who taught these people how to tell time; whomever they were, they were severally negligent. Days vs seconds! There is a very big difference.
I thought I may have done something incorrectly. I cancelled my account, waited 7 days, and re-applied. Same effect.
This is, in my opinion, complete false advertisement.
Then there is the FREE part. You can't get your FREE credit report without giving your credit card information. What if you don't have a credit card? You can't get you report.

Credit Reporting Agency -- NOT

I do not know why this discussion is listed underCredit Reporting Agencies. The problem arises when you go thru a second or third party which are not even a CRA.
If you want your credit score and a copy of your credit report go directly to the CRA not someone else, or write them direct. When you go thru a second or third party trying to get a "freeby"
all you are doing is asking for problems. I realize free should mean free but it's not always the case. I'm sure you have noticed. Sometimes it pays to pay.
If you go direct to Experian, Equifax or TransUnion and have a problem you will find it easier to solve your problem.
Another reason some people are having trouble getting a credit report is the information being provided by them does not match up with any info in the CRAs data base. This is not the CRA's fault, it is the fault of the buisness, cc company or finincial institution that havereported info on you. Have you moved?? Do you use your first and last name or first name and initial?? These are just a few things that can cause a problem. Remember you are inputing into a computer if it 'aint perfect it wont go--if you dont input "ripoffreport" correctly you wont get to this web site. Another thing - there are lot of people out there with the same name seperated only by their addresses and ssn and credit history.
Soon everone will be able to get a free report once a year. This should put a lot of the sites that offer "free" reports out of business.I am sure they will make a comeback and figure some other way to try to rip us off.

Call you credit card

Call your credit card company and tell them what happened and not to accept any charges from these people. Free should be free and you should never have to give a credit card number.

check their web sight carefully

I went to their web sight, and I think you must have misread or misunderstood what it says. In the first place, you are now entitled to one FREE report a year from each credit reporting company. You do not need to pay anyone, jsut request it from the company.
If you go to the web sight and re read it it says "See your free credit report and score in seconds with your FREE thirty day trial to Triple Advantage credit motering service."
I think THAT is the part you probably overlooked.
THIS IS ALSO IN A LARGE BOX ON THE SIGHT.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act allows you to get one free comprehensive disclosure of all of the information in your credit file from each of the three major credit bureaus once per year through a central source. This is not the central source. You can also receive a free Experian credit report and score here at FreeCreditReport.com when you sign up for Triple Advantage.
So you are paying for a service. I would call and cancel.
