I was advised that I was allowed 3 FREE credit report per year. I went to FREE CREDIT REPORT.COM to obtain my FREE report and gave them a credit card # thinking that they needed it to run the report. I didn't not read the fine print that I would be charged $14.95 a month for a service that I didn't want if I didn't cancel the service in 7 days. So, just by visiting the site, I was enrolled against my will and desire for a service that I didn't want, wouldn't use and had no idea that I had. The only reason I even discovered it was because of possible spam I was getting. As far as I'm concerned, FREECREDITREPORT.COM is NOT FREE and owes me $45.

You knew what you were signing up for when you signed up. The site tells you exactly what you are signing up for and the associated fees. It even tells you on the front page that you should go to www.annualcreditreport.com to get your annual free annual credit reports that the government mandates. If you CHOSE to not read the terms and conditions, enrollment was not against your will. Besides, I'd hardly call it fine print. It tells you several times during signup that you will be charged if you don't cancel. Would you sign a lease or mortgage without reading it first? A car loan? Well, maybe YOU would, but no intelligent person would. Consider it a lesson learned and move on. Sorry you didn't want the service, but you weren't ripped off.
