When my boyfriend went into Friedman's a few weeks ago to look at rings. After he had picked out the one he wanted to get me, he asked the young man, Adam, about getting the ring sized. Adam told him that it would take 3-4 days and would be free.

Well my boyfriend took the ring up there on a Sunday. On Tuesday he called and was told that it would be at least a week. Well we went back on Saturday to get my ring. Adam told us we owed $12.00. I asked him why we had to pay if they didn't have the right size to begin with. Supposedly my ring comes standard in a size 7. We had to pay for it even though my boyfriend was told it would be free!!! The ring looks ok, it still doesn't fit right, and one of the diamonds looks almost black.

We thought about going back in but I did not want to deal with these rude people. We should have asked to talk to the manager. I am very disappointed with this store and their lack of customer service. I will never purchase anything from here again and will not reccoment this jeweler to anyone!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Maybe it's a week after Christmas

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 05, 2005

Maybe the fact that it's a week after Christmas and they're a little busy is why it took a week. Adam figured he could jack you for $12 extra dollars. The standard size for women is 6. (See first sentance.) Make sure they sized the ring to the right size and removed all the rogue(polishing compound) from the back of the stones. It may need to be steamed.
