FTC Nothing to me but they screw you by protecting the banking industry who steal your money Nationwide

The banks and the ftc (federal trade commision) screw you by stealing your hard earned money by supporting the creddit card industry which charge you outrageous fee and they even charge you these fees even when you don't deserve it. These fees include sign up fees, monthly maintnence fees, activation fees, many many more. So if you are looking for a safe place for your money try a credit union which are different and much better than banks and instead of a credit card use a prepaid debit card because it will not affect your credit score like a credit card can. because you can only spend what you put on it and the banks don't control debit cards but they do control debit cards.

Nobody forces you into ANY credit card or banking relationship. It's up to YOU to read the Terms and Conditions first, then make the decision if you want to be bound by those TC's. Of course, there are thousands of dummies who will sign without reading and then whine and wail after the fact when they can avoided it in the first place!

You need to do some research on debit and credit cards

Sounds like you got involved with a subprime credit card - also known as a 'fee harvester' type card. Yes, those credit cards have tons of fees. They are directed at people that do not understand credit and can not handle credit. They are also meant to be short term solutions until you get your credit to a score that is acceptable to a normal unsecured credit card issuing company.
The FTC does not encourage or discourage fee harvester type cards.
I am not defending those types of cards. I am defending the marketplace that allows us as consumers a wide array of credit products from which to choose. It is up to you as a consumer to research your options first and then make your choice.
