First of all, you've given no detail what so ever about how the attempt to return you system went. Gamestop test ALL of their systems before they take them in for trade they don't test the memory and they don't test it with UMD's. Why? Because we're busy people taking care of all kinds of customers all day. Everyone makes mistakes, but if they didn't accept your return, you probably tried to return it after the 30 day return policy that is CLEARLY stated in the back of the receipt or you declined to purchase an extended 1 year warranty with it. If it was a "lemon" and it was before the 30 days, should've called  the corporate office. Problem solved. READ THE RETURN POLICY PEOPLE! I deal with this crap almost every day.
