I ordered an account on September 8th and was bill immediately. A few days passed with no response from the company. Finally i get a response that they are unable to deliver the product but they will give me a coupon to order a different account..unfortunately the coupon doesnt cover the amount ordered (i received an 8 dollar coupon but for some strange reason i was not allowed to order an account under 8 dollars so i had to put out more money). I chose another one and days pass again and still no update or delivery.Any emails sent by me were met with auto response no answer email. They have a 24/7 customer service,but by 24/7 they mean that is when they are NOT available. I can see i am not the only one left at the mercy of this sadistic company.

Tom,

You're right, there are a lot of reports, and all of them have been resolved. The fact is, we resolve issues and instead of working with us, you seem to want to "hurt and attack us" constantly by posting links, cursing on our fan page, and writing reports on every order you have placed with us. Everyday, we receive "phishing" links posted to our fan page from unknown people, so by posting "unknown" links on our fan page without any order information, then yes that could have been one of the reasons you were blocked.

We aren't sure what happened with your first order. Our delivery system is the one that issues the delivery. If it doesn't go through, we can upon request manually redeliver the order which we did and you received it. While I agree the process in between there could have been sped up, we have many ways to communicate with us, but if you're going to post links, and curse at us without providing any order information, then it's difficult for us to assist you. If live help is down, then there are other options on our site. Posting links, messages, and using profanity on our facebook fan page is not a means of communication about your order.

In the future, if you run into an issue with Funcom, we will be there to assist you. However, if you're going to personally come out and attack us each time you place an order, or interact with us, then you cannot expect that we're going to assist you.

In the meantime, we understand you're still upset by all of this, so the only thing we can offer you is what you paid for in a form of a gift code for compensation which basically means you're getting the item for free. Not many other companies would offer this, but as you can clearly see, we're trying to at least move forward and help you rather than hurt or attack you.

Regarding your "rebuttal" allow me to present my rebuttal to "your side" of the story.

The account was delivered on time. Really? So even though your website advertises that most accounts are delivered within minutes,and i waited 10 days. And judging from those people filing reports here there are a number of people with similar issues. Your customer service department sent me an email apologizing for the delay after several days of no contact. The email also stated that the original account was now "unavailable" and a coupon would be substituted for a new purchase.That in itself proves that your statement of the account being delivered "on time" is a lie.

I only paid 5 dollars? So i take it that anyone who spends less than a certain amount at your store can expect to be treated as garbage? Do you deny i had to pay more for the account than it was posted as due to your "coupon" being unable to be used unless i paid another fee on my card,or take less than the value of the coupon.

You say that i did not leave anything but abusive comments on your Facebook site. Perhaps that is because you did not respond to the many requests i left on there before. Finally i deleted those and resubmitted others. You then blocked my submissions,citing the excuse that i was "upsetting" other customers. I believe the real reason you blocked me was because i left links for other customers to this website and to the governments' internet fraud complaint site.

As for being upset with your business practices,perhaps that has something to do with your lack of respect for your customer. You have a customer service department with "live" help that is never there. Customer emails are answered by generic answer spam type email. You eventually get around to answering on Facebook but only after an extended period of time,and then it is vague. No one has to believe me they can see for themselves by visiting your page,or simply by looking at the number of reports on Ripoff Report.

When my account was delivered finally i immediately got on and updated the status of my report to reflect that. You have taken until now to even respond on Ripoff Report, which i think simply reflects your business model of "i'll get around to them...eventually"

  • As you stated in your earlier post, this account was delivered so the issue is closed.


  • You paid less than $5 for this product.


  • Your order was delivered on time, but we received complaints from you that you didn't receive it so we were forced to reissue delivery of your item.


  • The reason you don't agree with our business practices is because we informed you that you weren't allowed to post on our facebook fan page because of reported complaints we received from customers about posts you were making. When we informed you about this, you denied this issue. Enclosed is couple copies of facebook posts that you made which include the use of harsh profanity. Being that this facebook fan page is open to the public, we need to keep a positive atmosphere for everyone as there are children who could be viewing our fan page and we don't need a fan page filled with profanity and links pointing to what could potentially be phishing sites which are both clear violations of facebook and our policies.
In conclusion, the above reasons are our side of the story as not one message you left for us on our facebook fan page was positively inquiring about your order which is why we were forced to lock you from posting again on our fan page.

Today i finally received my login and password to the account i purchased from Gamewar.com. The account was as promised in content. I remove my accusation of fraud from Gamewar.com though i do not agree with their business practices. I cannot recommend them by any means,though they are not guilty of fraud in my case. You get what you pay for...eventually.
