Garden Winds Bought a gazebo canopy and cushion set. Lasted 3.5 years in mild climate with quality fabric protector. A huge section of canopy tore in a horsehoe shape leaving the fabric dangling. Contacted company who refused to stand by their product and refused to offer a discount when I offered to buy another. Terrible product and even worse customer service. Internet

So when you purchased it how long was the Warranty for?

Oh you don't know?  Well let me help you out, I took a look at their site and they offer a 6 month warranty.  This means that they will guarantee it will last at least 6 months.  Yours lasted 3.5 years and from my calculation the warranty expired about 3 years ago meaning that they don't "owe" you anything.

FYI while Laguna Hills does have a "mild" climate when it comes to things such as rain(well not this year), snow, ice, cold weather.  It is NOT mild when it comes to sun.  Depending on the Fabric Protector used and how often you reapply it(many suggest YEARLY) it may or may not have done any protection against the sun.  The sun could do more damage in a season than 2-3 years of snow and ice.

Sound a bit cold or rough?  Well if a company only warranties an item for 6 months and you got 3 extra years not sure how long you were "expecting" it to last?  5  years?, 10 years?, 25 years?  Until the end of time?

Then of course comes the "money" question.  Just how much of a "discount" were you looking for?
