Gardeners' Choice ripoff,dishonest,will not honor guarantee,will not issue refund, terrible product Hartford Michigan

I placed an order with Gardeners' Choice on 3/31/07. I purchased what they advertisee as "live plants, not seeds". I received my plants on 5/10/07. My "Japanese Maple Tree" was a dried out stick! so were my blackberry bushes, grape vines, tomato,strawberry,peppers and blueberries. Some of them were a little green, like the tomato and pepper plants, but mostly yellow. the strawberries were dried out stubs, with a little green.

Needless to say, I called to return my plants. I was on hold for almost an hour! Finally, I was told to tape the box back up, and write refused on it, and return it to the post office. I did this, and the mail man showed up at my door the following day, saying they could not accpt this, and that because it was open I would have to pay the shipping.

I again called the comapny, and was on hold for a good half hour. Finally the lady told me that I would have to send it back and pay the shipping, and that they would not reimburse me for the shipping costs.

I then took it back to the post office, and paid this shipping, and also paid for shipping confirmation.

They received the plants on 05/15/07. It is now 6/08/07, and 3 phone calls later, I have yet to be credited for my return. I called this morning, and was told I was only credited $7.98 of my $56.84 order. I asked why and was told that she didn't know and that she would fix this. I check my bank account, and there was not even the $7.98 credited to my account and that I was told was done on 6/5/07.

I am a merchant myself, I know that a credit is usually issued to the customer within 24 hours. So she said well, it will hit the bank soon then, and then I should see a credit for $48.86, the remainder.

I am reluctant to beleive this, because they have been making me wait so long.

BEWARE of ordering from this company, to all who are reading this. As the saying goes "if it's to good to be true..."

So at this point I am out my plants and my money! I also wasted my planting time trying to deal with this, and now had to wait to get healthy plants, and hope they produce for me.

I am so sorry I took a chance with company. I hope this helps anyone who is considering the same.
