On October 2015, I placed a call to 1-800-Geek Squad, thinking I was reaching Best Buy's Geek Squad with whom I have a contract.  Unknowingly, instead I reached Geeks Technical Support.

Thinking I was connected to Geek Squad, I reported my problem and allowed them to take over my computer.  They had control of my computer for many hours and claimed they had corrected the problem and removed Malware, etc.

They told me the problem was created when someone had taken over my Network.  Still thinking I was connected to Geek Squad, I agreed to pay $499.99 for Lifetime Network Security on All Devices.

Then on January 6th, again I called to report the same problem and questioned why it hadn't been resolved.  This time they tried to convince me to spend $300 (discounted price) for a Lifetime protection and to put me under special care.  After many, many efforts on their part, I finally convinced them I wasn't spending anymore money on a problem they had told me was taken care of back in October at the tune to $499.99.

I was concerned that Best Buy had started using such pressure in their sales practices, so went to Best Buy to report my concern.  That's when I learned that I had not been dealing with Best Buy but instead with Geeks Tecnhical Support which was a Fraud organization.
