GEICO I've been insured with GEICO for more than 30 years, never had a claim, never had a speeding ticket. Suddenly they raised my rate. When I complained, the response was Unwarranted Rate Increase

I believe GEICO's advertising is false. Despite being insured with GEICO for more than 30 years, with no claims, not even a speeding ticket, they raised my rate. I complained and was told, "Sorry you're frustrated." Frustrated? Betrayed is more like it. Angry is more appropriate. I live in a safe neighborhood; cars don't get brokrn into here, nor stolen, and my cr is garaged. There is no excuse for a greedy company increasing its profits by taking advantage of customers--unless GEICO thinks "If banks could do this, we should, too."
I was a profit center for GEICO, but no more.

I did find another insurer--and saved money. I researched several states' insurance depts. for complaints history, before switching.
The rebuttal tells me to calm down. Why are you worried about my blood pressure?
If the age of the car is the reason for the increase, despite all the reasons a premium increase was unwarranted, why wasn't I told this? I expect my car to one day be sold as a classic, because I keep it in excellent condition. It's not terribly old (as judged by car sale disputes on "Judge Judy"). Now I'm wondering if MY age is the secret cause. In which case it's an established fact that older drivers are safer than any other age cohort.
But it wouldn't surprise me to find GEICO discriminating on the basis of age.

I would like you to try to understand certain things before jumping the gun.
If the insurance is on the same car you have had, then the insurance could jump when the car gets to a certain age. There are many reasons related to the car age as well (e.g. parts).
Yes, an insurance company will always try to make a profit out of customers. They are not charities, so you may and should not expect much from them when it comes to money. I would not get mad on this issue but rather go somewhere else because it is just a waste of energy to be mad at them. Please calm down.
