In short, my wife took out an expensive membership with Genewize to receive their DNA vitamins. We both received our product at least 3 months after taking the so called DNA testing This is to have the product customised to our DNA match. That's a laugh. Well after receiving the frist batch we never received any more, so we cancelled the card, and prior to that we inquired as to why we had not received our product.
The customer service department gave an explanation that was not acceptable, and was full of excuses. About three month later I received 3 charges all being made at the same time on my credit card for 49.00 all on 1/04/2009. Knowing that I had cancelled my account with Genewize I called up the company and they slammed the phone down on me. I called again, and this time I was placed on hold for 20 minutes when a rude woman told me that I never cancelled my account.
She slammed the phone down on me, so I called the bank. The bank called them up on my behalf and the accounts department slammed the phone down on them as well. We are reporting them for Credit card fraud. I will let you know what happens. For me it's not the money. Its because they would not discuss the situation and slammed the phone down on me. Beware of these people as I know others that have been cheated.

If there were anything to this

It would have been snapped up by a real biotech company for billions. Why would this company have to resort to a cheesy MLM marketing strategy? Real molecular biologists find their claims to be pretty amusing.

Some Facts About GeneWize
AUTHOR: Earnmybusiness - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, May 15, 2009
It sounds like you had a bad experience with genewize. I have been using the product since Sep 2008 and have had no problems.
In fact, when my wife's doctor told her to stop taking all supplements until she had our baby, we cancelled the genewize autoship. The process was without incident.
Keep in mind, this product is less than a year old and is going to experience growing pains. I am not defending them, if they owe you the cash they should pay it!!!
However, It is one thing to have a bad experience with the billing department, but to question the DNA testing validity or the product without facts does not do any justice to your case. If your case is with merit your credit card company will take care of the credit.
But let's be clear about a few things. The product and the DNA assessment are not a scam or a fraud and you should be careful not to confuse people reading your complaint. It seems that your situation is with the billing department and i hope you get that cleared up.
Anyone reading this report should do their research about DNA Guided Nutrition and how it is changing the Nutrition industry.
And Joe from Austin, instead of posting uninformed statements about things you obviously know nothing about you should do a little research first. DNA testing is a very complex matter and it depends on what areas they are testing to determine cost and results. There are thousands of areas that can be tested, genewize isolates 12.
You take the DNA test at home (cotton swab on the inside of your cheek) and it is bar coded and sent to their assessment lab, The lab works off of bar codes so your name is never seen by them and your DNA sample is destroyed after the assessment is finished.
The DNA analysis done by genewize is only on 12 areas of your DNA that affect healthy aging. They then formulate a mixture of supplements (not vitamins) that is unique to your DNA assessment and mail it to you every month. Go ahead and call all the authorities, Genewize is totally legit. I did my research months ago.
Further more genewize is subsidiary of a Bio-Science Research company comprised of some of the top doctors and scientists in the field. I googled the scientists and was extremely impressed with their credentials. (again i did my research)
They have been working on Nutragenomics for over 12 years to come out with this custom nutritional supplement.
Again, I hope you get this billing issue resolved with genewize, but it is not a scam or a fraud and there are thousands of people that are benefiting everyday from custom nutritional supplements.
Joe, my friend please spend less time posting useless info and more time researching so your comments don't sound so uninformed. (I mean that in constructive not negative way)
I have been taking supplements for 20 years and am very careful what i put in my body that is why before i purchased genewize i did extensive research. What i found is quite possibly the most revolutionary new nutritional supplements in the past 50 years. I never thought i would be able to actually get my own personal supplements.
If you want to get solid information about genewize go to
I love science!!!

THIS SEEMS LIKE A SCAM TO ME
AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY TO ANALYZE A DNA SAMPLE.
I TRIED TO GET A DNA SAMPLE FROM A LEGITIMATE DNA LAB SERVICE TO SEE WHAT ETHNIC GROUP I WAS BUT I GAVE UP AFTER THEY WANTED $500 TO TEST ME AND THAT WAS THE CHEAPEST ESTIMATE I RECEIVED.
SO SOME COMPANY GETS A SAMPLE OF MY DNA AND THEY ARE GOING TO ANALYZE IT AND FORMULATE VITAMINS BASED ON WHAT THE DNA TEST TELLS THEM THAT MY INDIVIDUAL BODY NEEDS????????
AND THEY ARE CHARGING HOW MUCH MONEY?
I WONDER HOW THESE VITAMINS WOULD HAVE MATCHED UP TO REGULAR VITAMINS IF YOU HAD CONTACTED YOUR STATE HEATH DEPARTMENT AND ASKED THEM TO ANALYZE THEM OR IF YOU HAD CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CONSUMER FRAUD DIVISION TO CHECK THOSE VITAMINS OUT.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A FRAUD TO ME BUT IT SHOULD BE CHECKED OUT, AT THE VERY LEAST, TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HARMFUL IN THE VITAMINS --IF THAT IS WHAT THEY REALLY WERE, THAT IS.

GeneWize a SCAM or Fraud - Not what we experienced.

Being knowledgeable of the potential for unscrupulous actions and conduct of some companys and individuals on the Internet and being hesitant to deal with a fairly new start-up company from the Internet. We put in our due diligence of homework into GeneWize Life Sciences. With my wife logging in over 100+ hours of personal reading, research and scouring the Internet for the positive and/or negative articles as well, scientific abstracts, reports and calling several different times to speak with their customer service and a few individual corporate officers.
After reviewing our collective information, we chose to purchase the personal DNA Healthy Aging Assessment test and foundation to customized nutritional supplements in Feb. 2009. Being that it is a little over a month since our initial purchase - All things are well and good, yes, they charge our account the amount stated and we've received the product and services advertised within a couple weeks. We are pleased with and will continue purchasing the product from Genewize Life Sciences.
