You are correct. The situation with illegal immigration is getting way out of hand. But, who will do something about it? Show me a politician who is willing to take a firm stand on the issue, and I will gladly vote to put them in the White House, no matter what their party affiliation.

Will John McCain do it? Maybe, but I doubt it. It just doesn't make sense from a Government standpoint. As with ED's report on the mistreatment of illegal immigrants, it needs to start with the people who are willing to hire these illegals. I mean, it's one of the main reasons they come here in the first place, because they know they can find work, and can then send money back home to Mexico.

The farmers, home builders, construction companies and landscaping companies are the biggest violators. If someone started mandating the fines for these violations, within 1 year the number of undocumented workers would decrease by half, if not more. I guarantee it.

Secure the border towns (not just the borders), stop bussing kids from Mexico to attend school in the US, stop allowing companies to hire undocumented workers. These things alone would all but eliminate the problem.

So again I ask, who will do it?

Many that live in Mexico go to San Luis AZ and go to their LEGAL USA Post Office and get their welfare check. FREE Money and tax payer's expence. Much more money then if they worked all month in Mexico.

San Luis AZ has one of the biggest Post offices in the state of AZ. It is one of the smallest towns in AZ. Why to they have so many PO box's in such a small town on the borader?

I voted for Bush, but, I'm not a republican. I AM, however, horrified by the republican's plans backfiring. I have tried my best at spreading the hatred, and I LOVE paying boatloads of money for gas.

Although I am not a republican, I sure hope they can steal the next election, too!
