getsmartsmoker.com digitaltargetmarketing.com Scammed $9.95, No delivery of offer, Changed toll free number to a 900 number, Unable to reach daleville, Virginia

On Monday January 25, 2010 I placed an order for a trial of the Getsmartsmoker Electronic Cigarette. This seemed like a great way to quit smoking as I have several friends who are using E-cigarettes to quit. My friends have gone through a different & reputable company.

I paid with a credit card and after the allotted amount of time that this company stated it would take to ship attempted to contact them for a delivery confirmation number, anything to tell me where my electronic cigarette and it's other pieces were.

After 14 emails and an attempted phone call to their toll free number which was changed to a 900 number at $8.95 a minute, I hung up.

There does not seem to be any way to get ahold of this company short of snail mail and even if I took the time to do that, upon looking up the address on Google earth and Google maps (it does not exist) I doubt there will be any resolution.

I contacted the credit card company that I used and disputed the charge I was told that the company can come back and recharge my account within 30 days. But, since I didn't receive anything from them they sent forms for me to fill out to get the charge and any interest off of my account. They have also blocked them from attempting to charge anything more under the name they originally charged under which simply said E-cigtrial.

This company is preying on those of us who would like an alternative to smoking as a way to quit. There are a LOT of us out here and I am surprised that more people have not fallen for the try us for shipping only promise that they offer.

I made the mistake of initially calling smartsmoker.com only to find that I had the wrong place and they were aware of this company and the scam.

Please do not fall prey to these people. They do not have a product to sell you just promises & computer viruses.
