I located Gibson Trust on the internet to consolidate all of my credit card debt into one payment. This was August of 2001. I called the company and spoke to a Jeff Felderman. He was very nice and explained in detail the terms of the agreement and answered all of my questions. After discussing with my parter, I called Jeff back and he send me the contract and agreement. I signed it and completed the online ACH form to have my account debited each month on the 15'th for 521.00.

I received a letter indicating proposal letters were sent to my creditors. After several months, I find out that two creditors never received proposal letters. I followed up with Gibson and was told they didnt follow up and would resend the letters.

My account is debited each month on the 15'th however my creditor never receive their payments on time. I have emailed and called Gibson several times however I recieve no response.

I want to cancel my contract with them as my credit debt is higher then when I started, that was a year ago.

My creditors have agreed to work with me to pay them directly. I would never have signed with this company if I had known their
history.

Please help me along with the others to get our money back and close down this company. They are a disgrace.

Thank you,
WD in Minneapolis MN

they have filed bankrupsy

AUTHOR: Wendy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 28, 2003

Hi. I just received a claim notice from the attorney representing Gibson Trust. It indicates they have filed bankrupsy and that all creditors should file a claim prior to March 31, 2003. Did any of you receive this form and would it be advisable to complete and return. I am looking to get my initial retainer fee of 521.00 and payments made for August and Sept of 2002 that were never received by the creditors. Any information anyone can provide would be greatful. Does anyone know how long it takes to get your money back, if at all. Since I'm laid off the money sure would come in handy.

Thank you,

Please understand; I am NOT an attorney, but I am a Consumer Advocate for the Rip-off Report. I am gathering the class for the website to present to one of many attorneys. The attorney will be identified when the class is accepted by the one of the competing firms. The size of the class will determine who takes the case. Therefore it is important that we gather as many Rip-off Reports as we can, as quickly as we can.

Thanks to your overwhelming responses, we have more data than expected so quickly. I will be answering you e-mails and requesting information from you. I request your patience and cooperation.

Additionally, we are always open to proposals from law firms. If you are an attorney, you may contact us about obtaining the database, which is already extensive.

We need justice

AUTHOR: Wendy - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, November 20, 2002

I sent an email to Gibson trust specifically the person who sent the email indicating that their bank no longer offered ACH. I told them I work for a bank and all banks offer ACH as a method of payment. I would be willing to bet the bank fired Gibson as a customer or Gibson withdrew their account. Anyway, I also indicated I sent a certified letter that I know they received and I was inquiring where my money was. Well just now the email came back saying undeliverable. I'm sure this company no longer exists and have taken off with all of our money. We need justice. Has an attorney been assigned to this case and will I hear from someone representing me? Do I need to sign anything? If the company is bankrupt, how will we ever get our money?

SO SO desparate.

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

opened a new scam which is called CFCCS

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2002

Ms.Downie

The reaon why you can't get thru to them is because they are shutdown and they fired everyone. They have now opened a new scam which is called CFCCS the website is nobillsforyou.com and the number is 954-312-1166. You can call some of the old employees there and you might even get the president which is Patrick O'toole who also owns Gibson Trust and you can ask him why he ran off with everybodys money.Hope this info helps.

Gibson Trust, Pompano Beach Florida

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2002

Reading all of these complaints is just confirming my suspicions about Gibson Trust. They received my certified letter because I got a return receipt. This was over two weeks ago. I have not heard a word from them and creditors have yet to receive payment. I am being hounded by creditors each day looking for payment. Well I am laid off from my job with no extra money and credit cards with sky high interest rates and late fees and over the limit fees being charged. Gibson Trust has ruined my credit. I have contacted the attorney general and this sight. I have told my creditors about Gibson so they are able to red flag the company so they dont accept future proposals. The creditors were understanding however most of them are unable to lower the rates or the charges. I am no further ahead then I was over a year ago and I'm out over 1500.00. How soon will an attorney be assigned to this case. I am desperate and so frustrated. How do companies get away with this?

After several attempts contacting this company via email and phone calls, I was put in touch with Andre in Quality Assurance. I was very upset that my creditors had not been contacted by Mark as agreed nor was there any trace put on what happened to my payments. Andre agreed with my anger and promised he would contact the creditors and request copies of the checks from the accounting dept. This was on a Thursday. I told him, I work in customer service and that I know he could place stop payments on the checks, issue new ones and overnight to the creditors. He promised to call me back. Well on Tuesday, I didnt hear anything so I called and insisted on talking to him. He told me he placed an order to the department that contacts the creditors, bull. He had not did a thing. When I told him I would not make any more payments and wanted the current payments overnighted, he said he couldnt do it. He placed me on hold and came back to say if I wanted to withdrawl from the plan, I had to send a certified letter. I sent a certified letter not withdrawing from the plan on my own accord but because they were in breach of the contract. This was on Friday Nov 1'st. On Monday Nov 4'th I receive an email from Gibson telling me that their bank no longer offers ACH payment therefore I must send a money order, certified check effective immediately. This is too fishy. I emailed the commissioner of Florida to lodge a compliant. I received a letter back indicating that a copy of my complaint was sent to Gibson and they had 30 days to respond. I believe the company is in trouble and fear that they have over 1500 dollars of my hard earned money. My creditors have withdrawn from the plan therefore I am now paying high interest rates and being charged late fees and over the limit fees. I am no further ahead than I was a year ago. My credit is ruined and I want justice from this company. Please help. I'm desperate.

Gibson Trust

POSTED: Thursday, October 17, 2002

Well, its now October 17'th and all five of my creditors have not received a payment since August 24'th which represented the payment Gibson took from my account in July. After multiple calls and emails to Gibson, I finally received a call from a Mark who said he would contact all my creditors and tell them payments were sent and that he would do research with the accounting dept. Well I called the creditors and they were never called. I called Mark back but the receptionist said he wouldnt be in until later. That was two days ago. I stoped payment on October until this gets straighend around. My credit card balance are more now then when I started with Gibson. I have made payments to Gibson in the amount of 521.00 since last Oct, 2001. How can we stop this fradulant company and get our money back. Help, I am desperate.

I have emailed Gibson 10 times in the past 3 days and have left two messages. No response. My creditors have still not received payment since August. Gibson has July,Aug and Sept payments that have not been disbursed. I am getting charged late payment fees and one creditor indicated I will be taken off the plan if they are late again. This company is outragest. They have totalled misrepresented themselves according to their contract and their website. I do beleive we would have a case against them. Lets still together and fight this one to the end.
