Glamour Shots ripoff hard sale deceptive pricing Mesquite Texas

Speaking from an insiders point of view about glamour shots I have nothing good to say about this company. Yes I was an employee at this company. Thier main goal was to bleed clients/customers out of as much money as possible even if they could afford it and or needed it.

The moment a client/customer walks in the store every single motion is absolutly scripted to sell more to those people. The photography was of little concern. As a matter of fact photography was the least of their concerns. And the makeup is merely used as an another oppurtunity to sell the customer on more. The objective was to wear down the customer to the point where they would just say yes to anything just to get out of their.

Their pricing structure is not honest and forthright either. At the "sales station" (when the client reviews the images) it is scripted to get the client to pick out as many images as possible then the sales person will come up with an outrageous figure. And then the discounts will start popping up instantly once the customer seems dissatisfied. It would be impossible to walk into this store and get a straight answer about pricing from the begining. This is all done in a psycological warfare manner to beat the customer in to saying yes to anything.

From a photographic stand point the work was sub standard for a "professional" studio. The equipment and studio was in poor condition and dirty. The final images were miss handled by the staff and stored in unacceptable conditions.

I would ask questions about the photography, how it was handled and about the lab. I would never get a straight answer or was simply lied to. And I was instructed to lie to customers. I.E. I was instructed to tell clients that we emailed images to the lab nightly. Nothing was farther from the truth. They would burn a disc and DHL the disk to the lab in OKC. Another product they attempted to push as their own was "glamour touch". This was a cash cow for them and all it was was adobe photoshop, we were instruced to sell "glamour touch" as exclusive to glamour shots.

As a professional photographer with 20 years experience in the image making business I can not say anything good about this company and it's treatment of clientele. The only thing I can say about this company is that they are giving photography and photographers a very bad name and they made me look bad as a photographer.
