Why would one pay Global Career Management up to $10,000 for services that are free?
Global Career Management claims to have access to the unadvertised job market, false.
Truth:
-The client is responsible for selecting companies they would like to work at.
-Global Career Management then confirms the address and contact using the internet or calling the company directly.
-Global Career Management generates form letters for their clients to send to companies along with a resume in summary format.
-The client is then responsible for following up with the company and securing an interview/information meeting.
Global Career Management offers career coaching, true.
What qualifies the career coaches at Global Career Management to advise individuals on the current job market?
-Have any of the career coaches at Global Career Management served on a hiring committee for executive positions?
-When was the last time any of the career coaches at Global Career Management interviewed or hired anyone?
Global Career Management can offer no guarantee that their services will work. Global Career Management claims their process works if people work the process. The process does work and can be done without spending a dime on bogus career management firms.
I urge you to avoid scams offered by Global Career Management and investigate the free resources available to you at your local library and university career centers. There are numerous books on resume and cover letter writing. If you are interested in working for a certain company then use the internet to research this company and contact them, after all this is the process Global Career Management uses.
If you still insist on throwing away thousands of dollars, then invest it in your future. Use that money to take a class at your local college or update your wardrobe for that interview.
Most importantly don't forget the first person you meet with at Global Career Management is a salesperson and will tell you what you want to hear to make the sale.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Their lack of service is one reason I quit

I used to work for this company and I hated every second of it! What my job consisted of took about 1 hr a day and I sat there for 8 hrs. BORING! This company has no customer service skills and the people that worked in the office were liars and cheats. All they wanted was people's money and then half-a$$ed the rest of what they were supposed to do. I've seen and read the printouts that the clients get and you can get WAY more information off the internet and its free! No need to pay the outrageous $5-$6K they were asking for!!
I had to interact with the potential clients and actual clients and I just wanted to SLAP them and ask them why were they even considering such an investment of their hard earned money but of course I could not. I held my tongue for the few months I worked there but I was SOOO happy to read all these complaints online today. It made my day.
I'd love for more complaints to come up so something could be done about these scammers. I know Mark Renn has scammed alot of people out of their money because he has a huge ranch! Anyways, good luck to anyone who decides to go up that road.
