We bought a vacation package in August 8, 2007 which promised of 4-5 star quality hotels and availability. Specially for people that are in the teaching field. There was a money back guarantee if you were not satisfied (you had 30 days to submit the complaint). We started looking for prices and booking resorts, cruises, hotels and did not succeed and find anything after many attempts.

We looked for places locally, other countries and other cities. We also called customer service and they did not call us back as it was promise. Then by the end of September, we were so discourage about the service through the internet and with customer service and the availability that we decide to cancel. What a nightmare it has been and the amount of hours that I have spend trying to deal with Global Escapes! Emailed the company but never responded my emails.

Then, I called at 800 604 8166 never called me back and after several attempts talked to a person that goes by Cristina. She told me that it was out of her hands. She also told me that they had to process my cancellation and that it will take 3 weeks at the most for the legal department to decide if Global Escapes would accept my cancellation and that we were going to be notified by mail. She also mentioned that customer service received my emails with the reasons why we were cancelling our software. The three weeks passed by and we did not receive anything by mail!

Kept calling customer service and left several messages. Then, I decided to call the office here in San Antonio, TX and the manager (Loren) called the following day. He told, he was going to email the Corporate Office. About three days later, I called the corporate office again and this time someone that goes by Tony told me that for sure I was going to receive a letter from the legal department.

I finally, received the letter that looks like a photocopy that probably is the one they are sending to everyone that is going through the same fraud. In the letter Global Escapes states that I could not cancel because it was outside of the rescission period. I am going to fight for my rights! I am hoping that a lot of people read this report and the ones that already made the stupid mistake like me can get together and stop their fraudulent practices.

We bought a vacation package in August 8, 2007 which promised of 4-5 star quality hotels and availability. Especially for people that can travel during summer, spring break or holidays. There was a money back guarantee if you were not satisfied (you had 30 days to submit the complaint). We started looking for prices and booking resorts, cruises, hotels and did not succeed or find anything. We looked for places locally, other cities in Texas, different states and other countries but the prices were so high or it was not available. We also called customer service to see if they could find a better deal. Their findings were very expensive. Then by the end of September, we were so discourage about the service through the internet, customer service and the availability or prices offered that we decide to cancel. What a nightmare it has been and the amount of hours that I have spend trying to deal with Global Escapes! Emailed the company from the end of September through the first week of November, guess what? They never responded my emails. Then, I called at 800 604 8166 never called me back and after several attempts I was able to talk to a person that goes by Cristina. She told me that it was out of her hands. She also told me that they had to process my cancellation and that it will take 3 weeks at the most for the legal department to decide if Global Escapes would accept my cancellation and that we were going to be notified by mail. I am hoping that a lot of people read this report before Global Escapes sells their software and for the ones that already made the stupid mistake like me can get together and stop their fraudulent practices.
