Globalinx, Phonelinx Fraudulent monthly charges to my debit card McLean Virginia

Two months ago I received a charge of $49.99 to my debit card from Globalinx. The only phone card I use is from MCI so I didn't know why they were charging me. I didn't dispute the charge at the time because I wasn't sure what it was for and then it slipped my mind.

A month later another charge for the same amount appeared on my debit card. This time I called my band and got their customer service number.

I called the number but the receptionist said that she was receiving calls for several companies, and that she didn't know anything about the charges. She said that she would let them know I canceled my service.

Just today I received an e-mail from the company stating that they had supplied the wrong customer service number to my bank. Apparently they still had my account information, so I blocked my card.

they should be able to help you there. Also, if the charges were done through your credit/debit card, file a dispute so you can be reimburst right away. Let the credit card company deal with this company, they have more lawyers.
