GlobalTelLink GTL Overpriced phone calls to my incarcerated son are DROPPED and they've taken over $13 out of my prepaid account!!! Mobile Alabama

This was my email to GTL person:

I'm sorry, but as I just told another GTL representative who was the only person I could speak with after being told there's nothing that could be done, the attitude on the part of GTL is horrific: cold. The families of prisoners are bled with $9.00 for  30 minute phone calls. Your system (or MCI-H) dropped these calls as I was in my house when the calls were dropped. I have AT&T which is the most reliable service I've ever had & I've had it for many years.  I have no land line. Two dropped calls exactly 13 minutes apart is suspect, and to add insult to injury, I'm overcharged over $13 off my balance? Greed is a terrible thing, and GTL is gouging me and countless other families of those in jail and I pray that those with the rigidity of policy will be held responsible when they answer to God. The poor, and I AM poor, are being held hostage from a few words with my son. All policies have exceptions. Your operators told me I had no recourse about dropped calls if I used another provider to try to reduce the cost per minute. I guess they were lying because i also had no recourse with GTL - you just stole money from a poor sick old lady. I want your supervisor or the head of the complaint department to call me or email me and tell me why you overcharged me for minutes that I didn't use. I won't hold my breathe because you agave a monopoly. You hold all of the loved ones of those incarcerated as hostage. Shame on you and God forgive you.
