Globe Van Lines ripoff, robbery, dishonest, rude, fraudulent pricing Chatsworth California

Our experience with Globe Van Lines was maddening and stressful.

Sam,the salesman, quoted me 2294.00 for all of our belongings including a piano, to move out of state. Sam said that they move pianos all the time..no worries.

They arrived on time with 6 guys to load everything. It took all 6, plus my husband to load our piano. Ben, the foreman, let us know we were over our cu ft and they had to charge us $250.00 for boxes and tape, eventhough Sam included 10 boxes in our estimate and I had everything packed up.

Sam promised me everything would arrive in Colorado by 3/30/05, because we had a cruise to catch on 4/2/05...Well according to Rashon, the truck broke down in Nevada, then they were delayed due to weather conditions...Victor, the driver, arrived 4 hours late on 4/2/05...So we missed our cruise!

The driver arrived ALONE. So my husband had to call some friends and unload the truck. My piano sat in my front yard because Rashon, the dispatcher, did not send any help. Rashon told my husband to call a professional moving company to move the piano inside. Rashon was very rude and unhelpful.

None of my furniture was reassembled, our sons brand new twin mattress was ripped in 2 places, my grandmothers china crumbled to pieces, our fireplace scratched up, my piano had a broken leg, damaged our computer desk, boxes sat in my garage.

The driver had mentioned that he was tired of this. Things like this happens all the time. He even told us that many robberies have happened since they hire helpers from companies like Labor Ready... Well speak of the devil...

The day we moved... we were robbed. My husbands Yukon was broken into and they stole our safe with our $6000.00 closing costs, luggage, DVD player, cash box with $150.00 in cash, CD's, Cell phone, and other misc. items. We did file a police report and it is under investigation.

If anyone knows of a good consumer attorney who would take this case please let us know.
