WRONG FRAME, WRONG TINT, STILL CHARGED! NO RETURN I LOST $110 FOR THEIR MISTAKE, DONT RISK IT
save yourself 20 bucks on frames and risk being charged 100 bucks for this companies mistakes.
I ordered 3 pairs of glasses, one just a frame, one with transition lenses, and one with specially tinted lenses. the plain frame has been back ordered, and although i have called and emailed to have it cancelled, it is still showing online as back ordered. I've had items back ordered so i figured i would just wait.
the other two pairs came in the mail within one day of my email to verify the PD. well, sort of. one pair, the one with transition lenses was exactly as i had expected. but the other which was supposed to be a black frame with blue crystals and a dark tint fading from grey to blue, turned up as a clear plastic frame with a tint so pale that my boyfriend thought they were normal seeing eye glasses.
so the horror began, i emailed to ask what i could do since the order was entirely wrong. they first tell me i might be wrong and that the pale tint might actually be what they consider dark, although obviously wrong, i consider just dealing with the frame issue first. i ask them to exchange the frame for the correct color, they tell me it is not available, so i ask about the same style plain black with no crystals, they say its also not available. then they say i can exchange them with another frame from the site, but will have to pay 15 dollars restocking, yeah to put the frames on a shelf, and 45 dollars to re cut the lenses to another frame.
this sounds rediculous because it would leave me with the same incorrect tint and i would have to pay 60 dollars for their mistake. so i tell them i want to return them for credit, and figure i will eat the 15 dollar fee it takes them to open a box and put a frame on the shelf, then they tell me i will still be charged for the lenses, which not only were the wrong tint, but wouldnt have been ordered if the truth about the frames was known. SAVE YOURSELF, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GO-OPTIC.COM!!!!
