I was contacted via telephone by this company that I had won a $100 walmart gift card after taking a survey over the phone. The gentleman on the phone informed me that I needed to provide a $4.95 processing fee to activate the card. I was hesitant, and found out later that my gut instinct was correct.

I provided my card information which took forever bc they had this extremely weird phone system. now looking back it was most likely b/c they are scam artists- their phone system was another red flag for me but I proceeded, asking them SEVERAL TIMES, "I am not signing up for anything, correct?" Repeatedly the man told me, "No ma'am, this is just for the gift card. Don't worry."

I got got off the phone and a couple of weeks went by. I waited for the gift card, and checked my statement. The "processing fee" had just recently been taken out, so I assumed it would take more time, also with it being the holiday season I knew it'd take longer.

I waited a week or so longer and nothing came. I tried calling once but with my work schedule hadn't called in time. Anyways, I go to check my bank account and I had been charged $22.79 for something in Florida (BSTDNES) and then $24.95 for Goshopandsave. Idk who this company thought they were dealing with, but they picked the wrong woman.

I am interested in being contacted by legal representation and I am looking to pursue sueing this company for fraudulent activity. God only knows how many other people have suffered unknowingly by this company. It's very interesting the amounts they've taken, also, so as to seemingly stay under the radar or avoid committing a felony.

I'm not completely lawbook savvy, but is this not embezzlement? Anyways, if you're a lawyer, or this has happened to you and would like to join on a class-action lawsuit please feel free to contact me. I'd hate to see people like to this doing this to anyone else.

I have had 3 transactions taken out of my account and have no idea what this company is. When I try to find it it goes right to "file a ripoff claim"!

Go Shop Save

AUTHOR: J Mason - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 21, 2015

This is almost exactly the same thing that happened to me. I actually found this website and complaint because my husband and I are still dealing with these people, and I was trying to find some contact information for Go Shop and Save.

During the initial phone call, the man assured my husband that he was not signing up for anything... then after he took our bank information, he began telling my husband what he signed up for.

My husband insisted he did NOT want anything, cancel all of it, at which time the man said it was too late. Eventually, after much argument, he said he could cancel it but my husband had to go through an automated question and answer during which the man said my husband needed to reply 'yes' to each question, or he wouldn't be able to cancel it.

When my husband wouldn't respond yes, the man got very angry and reassured my husband that this was going to cancel it, and it was the only way, he went through the questions and followed the instructions he was given. Of course, they were recording him saying yes so they could use his voice with different questions, making it seem as though he was agreeing to totally different things.

Today, the man contacted my husband again, saying that he only cancelled part of the agreement, so he needed to go through more questions with 'yes' responses. He again became angry when my husband refused to do this. My husband demanded cancellation and refunds for the amounts taken from his bank account, and the man said he would credit back half of the 24.95 fee ONLY if my husband agreed to not say anything incriminating or bad about the company.

My husband hung up on him and we don't know what to do to stop this. We would gladly help anyone who wants to take legal action against these crooks.
