My oldest son wanted a Didgeridoo. One day while checking my usual round of websites, I found a Didgeridoo on goingtoday.com for $19.99. I did a quick search online to see if goingtoday.com was legit and didn't find anything immediately negative about the website, so I forwarded it on to my wife to show our son.
Despite being very frugal with his money, he decided that this was a good buy and wanted to purchase it. So, I ordered it on June 6th. They used PayPal to process my order, so that gave me a little hope that this was a legit website. PayPal charged our account on their behalf almost immediately. The receipt I received via email said that the package would arrive within 3-7 business days.
My son counted down the days. He anxiously awaited the arrival of a FedEx or UPS truck. When day seven came and went without a package, I began to worry. I used the fill-able form on their website to inquire about our package. It promised a response within two business days. Two days later, no response. I tried again. Same outcome. We found a phone number on the receipt, so I called it by day nine. I received a very poorly recorded voice message stating that no one was available to take my call and to leave a message. I left a detailed message and received no response.
I called again on day 10 and sent a third email. No response whatsoever. Yesterday (day 10), I decided to call PayPal and open a complaint. They were very nice and told me that they would open a dispute. This would give the company 10 days to resolve the matter or I would receive a full refund via PayPal. Upon further investigation online, I did eventually find a website called resellerratings.com that had many similar complaints about this particular website.
My son was heartbroken when I told him yesterday that he should probably not expect his package to arrive. I explained to him about crooked people who desire to play on innocent consumers and steal their money. I explained that unfortunately, he was a victim to this vile practice. He cried. Poor guy! It broke my heart. If this would have happened to me, I would have been upset, but I would have probably settled with just a full refund from PayPal. But, you don't mess with my kid! So, today, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and opened a complaint.
Once I receive my refund from Paypal, I will be contacting them to open a complaint so that they will no longer do business with this website and therefore protect the community of consumers who trust PayPal to work with upright sellers. I'm angry. You won't like me when I'm angry, goingtoday.com. I've written this report to further spread the news about this company's poor business practices in hopes that it will save some consumer the trouble and frustration that we just experienced.

I Am Yet Another Victim. . .

I have sent two messages through WrightWay's "contact us" forum. Which states that they will contact you within 2 days, but it has been more than 4 days and still no reply. I ordered a book, and a mystery box. I received 2 notices from paypal showing the funds being withdrawn. I have recieved 3 Automated emails from wrightway saying "we'll get back to ya". It is simply sad that it has to come to things like this. Having to threaten action.
This was my second attempt at contacting them 2 days ago: THIS IS A SECOND ATTEMPT TO GET A RESPONSE HERE. IT IS NOW 02/20/13 AND ON 02/06/13 I ORDERED "Hal Leonard Play Piano" for $17.99 (transaction ID 9CH* * * * *) 2 WEEKS HAVE PASSED AND I AM STILL WAITING ON SOME KIND OF INDICATION THAT THE ORDER IS BEING PROCESSED. ALSO.... ON 02/08/13 I ORDERED A "Moonlight Mystery Box" for $10.00 (transaction ID 9M3* * * *) ...ALSO WAITING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ORDER. I submitted an inquirey over 2 days ago and only received an automated response. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but My next email will be going to Pay Pal. Waiting 2 weeks for some kind of indication that a book you supposedly have on hand, is going to ship seems excesive to me. I had high hopes for dealing with WrightWay, so far my hopes have been dashed. Sincerely, Ray W.
Still Waiting.

Received the Item

The company did make good on their offer to refund my son and ship the item free of charge. We did receive the item (but it was 19 business days after ordering it and not 3-7 business days as originally stated). I was disappointed in the quality of the item. It looked like a wood didgeridoo from the picture, but it was actually a painted card-board type material. It still makes the didgeridoo sound, but I wouldn't have paid $25 originally for this if I had known. While it was very nice for the company to make good on their promise to make things right, it doesn't explain why they did not respond to my numerous emails and phone messages. I kind of feel like they wouldn't have done anything if I hadn't posted my frustration on this site, resellerratings.com, and called the Better Business Bureau and Paypal. I seem feel like this is a shady operation and will not be using them in the future. Thanks for the item, goingtoday.com, but I would have preferred better customer service to begin with.

I really hope your company fixes this gentleman's situation that he is currently in. I also ordered an item, the "Mystery Music Box" last week and to this day I still do not have any type of tracking information even after requesting it from the site directly.
Definitely seems like a shady operation to me.

We are so very sorry for the trouble we have caused with this order. We have provided a full refund and want to make a good on this transaction.
This is not a good representation of how we do business here at our brick and mortar store or how we like to do business online.
The item that you ordered wasn't shipped due to an error on our side that has been corrected.
We will be shipping your son a new item on Monday the 27th. That item did sell out that day but we have been able to locate more. We will be shipping the item priority mail to you.
Sorry again for the trouble we have caused you and your son.
