In June I desperately wanted to move out of my Jersey City apartment and contacted Gotham Coty to help me. My contact Nader, signed me up after charging me $240 and GARANTEED me a house and after I told him I wanted to get a house first before I gave notice to my landlord, he assured me I would find the house I was looking for which was pet Ok.

In the next 1 month, I have had to call them more then 200 times to set my accoutn correctly so I could access my accound in order to get rental listing. I have had 5 people assigned to me, all of whom left the company.

Based on his assurance I gave my landlord notice. Since that week, I have had problems with my online account where we are able to access and search apartments. When I called them they asked me to put in rent specifics which was $200 $500 dollars more then I was willing to pay.

During the month I logged into their system, I was given 2 listings only. I contacted and left messages for Nader, and spoke to an IT specialist who promised to follow up, but never heard from. I followed up again in 2 days and spoke to the IT person who again promised to call me and/or work on my account. But I received the same results. I continued leaving messages for Nader and another representative. Finally after a month they assigned my case to Erica who notified me that the other rep. was no longer working at the office. After a week, I was notified that Erica was no longer working there too. This was the same with the 2 IT people who were working on my case they too left the company. After being pushed around many more times, I spoke to the manager, who too promised to help and return my call but never did. By then it was time to leave my apartment and/ or renew my lease. I was stuck again for another year at the same place.

Not only was the whole thing stressful as hell, but the fact that I never received any service, but in fact ended up wasting 3 month trying to work with Gotham City. 1 month ago they called me on the refund after a very nasty letter sent by me and they offered to refund me $15. LOL Finally after much persuasion they offered my $60. Now finally 3 months later I am still waiting on the final word of my refund. It is not so much about the money but the fact that I have had so much more trouble with them than any help. If any one out there is looking for a place never sign up with them. You never get what you are looking for.
