I recently bid on a scrap metal opportunity that was offered by an Air Force base and was represented by Government Liquidation,com
The aircraft maintenance tower was offered as scrap and clearly showed many pictures of the structure and equipment that was supposed to be apart of the sale.
After I won the bid and bank wired the funds it took over 3 weeks to get in touch with anyone at the base. Finally I was told by the officer at the base that the generator and fluilds had been removed from the structure. This structure is over six stories in height and would cost the government hundreds of thousands of dollars to have dismantled by a general contractor.
Knowing the cost to dismantled the structure, the real value in this deal was in the removal of the generator and being able to re-sell it on the open market. The generator would have enable me to pay for the dismantling of the structure and the current low value of selling scrap metal.
The Government personal completely mislead the bidders by showing pictures and making the bidder believe that the structure was being sold with all the parts and equipment as shown in the advertising.
Once I learned of the misleading advertising, I contact Governemt Liquidation, whom has slow woalk my refund claim and will not respond to any of my demands.
This company is totally dishonest and willnot respond to my calls and emails.
I am going to contact my Congressman, the Base Commander, and file a lawsuit against Government Liquidation.com.
I would warn anyone placing bids on this website NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
Very unprofessional and totally does not care how their Sellers misrepresent the products and materials they are offering on their website.
