Gray Taxidermy Trophy scam. High pressure tactics and Extreme hidden cost, worse looking mount ever.No Refunds! Pompano Florida

 Well to start. We went on a fishing trip in cancun and were able to catch 7 Barracuda all very nice. One we kept hearing was "a Trophy". We heard this many times while on the boat.

When we got back to port there was alot of talking that we didn't really understand and the person that spoke English  came up to me and started talking about mounting the largest one. We were told it was agianst the law to have the fish shipped back to  a taxidermist we know in the USA and that we needed to use this one , That it was very good .

There was a contract that said "Total" price that was agreed upon including all shipping with the english speaking person. Althought the receipt we received was in spanish the "Total" price was in USD.

When we got back home we received a paper from "FLORIDA" (  We were told that the fish could not be shipped to the United States)  that said there would be a crating and a shipping charge added to this order of close to $400.00 WOW.

So we contacted the company and told them about the Total we were given and  they sent us  a "ENGLISH" version of the recipt that says shipping and crating extra. Well we tried to cancel before the fish even left Mexico but were told we would lose the $413.00 down payment ( Non -refundable) in Spnish on our recipt.

This went back and forth with this company until we came to an agreement with them , They would honor the "Total" that we had just send them the rest of the money. so now we paid $774.01 and we just recieved our "Mount" . IT is really bad. There are very few different colors on it , only one eye is done the other is just spray painted the same as the skin and there is a wire piece hooked to the back of fish to hang by,  No wood, No base Nothing to make this presentable This was a large waste of money and a ruined fish.

The real problem is that the way these companys operate you have no way of seeing these bad reports until after it is too late They know if you walk away from that fish at the pier you can't get it back and you can not research this company until after you give the NON REFUNDABLE DOWN PAYMENT. So I am sorry for you if you are reading this because it is already too late to save you from this rip-off.
