I entered my daughter into the Great American Photo contest. I didn't win their "monthly" contest, but I got an email telling me my daughters been selected to be in their 2009 Most Beautiful Babies in America book. So of course, I was excited...showed everybody I knew. And I bought the book for a total of $81.95. This was back in August of 2009. They also offered frames and plaques and such things. But I couldn't afford all of that. Just the book alone I thought would be a great thing to have and be proud my baby was one of the cutest babies out there...

I sent them an email immediately after purchasing the book asking when it will be published and sent out. I got a response saying there will be a November ship date. Well, November comes and goes and no book. I send them another email asking what the deal is and they tell me now its due to ship mid-December. They even asked if my shipping address was the same.

Now its close to Christmas and I still have no book. I've sent another email asking why I haven't gotten my book. I tried calling their customer service line too and just got an answering machine. I went back to their website and even clicked on the links that showed my daughters picture and it says the picture has been removed. So now I'm wondering if I've been another victim of a big scam.

There's an investigative news team in my city so if I dont get the book by the new year I AM going to contact them and see if they will help me either get my money back or get me the book I ordered.

Afer emailing the company several times, with no response, I finally DID receive the book I ordered. I had to bother them endlessly it seems like. Not in time for Christmas, but hey, I finally received it. It's not what I thought it was going to be, the picture of my daughter was very small. There's 4 pictures to a page, all in alphabetical order, with room for a description at the bottom if you paid the extra to write something in. I thought paying that much money for a book, my daughter would at least have a page to herself. Thats how it seemed in their email about ordering the book. It was a very thin book. But of course I guess to get all the money they could possibly get out of people, they had to cram as many babies as they could into the amount of pages they paid to get published. Or however it works. It still is something I could show to people I guess, "hey look at the tiny picture of my baby in this book!" Anyway, I finally received it, even though it's not what I expected, so that's all that matters.
