I subscribed to the Great Getaways service for $4,500. I was told that I could get upscale accommodations at the locations we like to visit at greatly discounted prices. The travel agents are impossible to deal with. They take days to get back to you. In my case, we tried to schedule 4 or 5 different trips. They did not have acceptable accommodations available. In the one case where they found something, there was inadequate information to make a decision. There were no pictures of the interior of the condo.

In addition, they charge annual dues. My contract says that it is to be $149. They billed me for $249. When I pointed out the error. They said they were sorry for the mistake and then sent me a reminder for the $249. My advise to anyone who is thinking of attending one of their presentations is to stay away. They use a promise of a free airline ticket to get you to attend. What they don't tell you is that the offer expires. All in all, i feel like a fool.

You need to refile your complaint with Ripoff.com by using the word the. "The Great Getaways" is the correct name. I worked for this company and am embarrassed to  say I did. Not only do they lie about 90% of the prices in the presentation the ignorant way the treat you afterwards is humiliating.
After you refile your complaint with Ripoff.com, please go to Scambook.com and file another. Scambook will represent you at no cost and they will contact the company and the Attorney General of Texas.
I had the misfortune of them writing bad checks and now am seeking over $2500 they owe me. I have contacted the AG of TX and made myself available as a witness against them. The more of us that complain the faster it will be resolved. Time is of the essence because if they decide to go Bankrupt, the first to file are the first to receive. I hope this helps.
