Great Lakes Circulation Magazine Sales Abuse Sales Agents as well as Customers Kitridge Colorado

My daughter has returned home from selling magazines for Great Lakes Circulation Inc. She has a horrible tale of abuse and humiliation to tell. She came home bruised and scratched from the last beating she endured for her low sales performance. She was denied a safe seat in the van, she was denied food, she was denied a bed to sleep in, she paid fines to the managers and she was humiliated for low sales performance.

Managers and other sales agents taught her how to close the sale by lying to and conning customers. She was given a small amount of her commision for her daily food expenses. Sometimes she only had three dollars in her pocket for a day of food. One time she had zero sales and her manager "fined" her 40 dollars. It was all the money she had.The rest of her comission went "on the books." We doubt she will ever get the money.

So dont buy from this company. If a young person comes to your door selling magazines, beware. Sometimes they resort to stealing from the customers to survive. If you are so inclined, ask them if they need help getting home. There is a web site called Magcrew that helps these kids get back home since the company has a tendancy to abandon their sales agents if they quit.

My daugher was dumped at a bus station with no money and no ticket home. I only learned about the abuse when she came home. Warn any young people you know that are looking for a job to STAY away from door to door sales companies!
