I have been a customer Greendot for 8 yrs, using my card for everything. I regularly fill my card on a weekly basis, and I have paid every fee alseve being put in the negative only by Greendot. (I cannot do this myself) now, I tried to use my card and was declined, I call and an automated line tells me do to "unusual activity" my account is being closed and I am never to have another Greendot card. I tried calling for 2 days and was rudely informed that it's  thier choice to do this if they chose. I simply asked for an explanation...never got one. I was told by a supervisor to look at my account and I would see what the problem was, I looked, there was nothing. So after all these years of being a customer, they blocked me and cancelled my card. My new card mind you, that was just sent to me this month because my old card expired. I still, after several phone calls do not understand the treatment I received, or exactlywhat I did to cause this after several attempts at an answer.

 Maybe you should come up with a different response. You cannot tell a customer why you are blocking them and closing thier card? What kind of company are you? There was zero unusual activity, that is why you cannot tell a person what they did to cause thier card to be blocked. Your treatment of customers is ridiculous in this day and age, and the fact that you cannot train even your supervisors on customer service is also sad considering the size of your company. I do not need a rebuttal again, because like your answers on the phone, you make zero sense. I have obtained another card, with NO monthly fees, a card I should have picked from the begining. You are a horrible company looking out only to make money, never to service your actual customers, you cannot even train your non English speaking supervisors to treat people with respect. What a joke, your basically thieves.

Sorry for the experience. Circumstances which would call for a block or closure vary depending on the card type and the activity. If your account was closed due to unusual activity, we are not able to provide specific details what caused us to make the decision to close the account for security. In most cases we will allow access to the funds on the card because we know customers need access to their funds. Unfortunately, we can’t allow further reloading activity or to open new accounts once a customer’s account has been flagged for closure.
