I purchased a puppy from Greenfield puppies.com. Prior to purchasing a dog from this site, I reached out to confirm that they do not promote puppy mills. I ended up purchasing a puppy from here in September. Now in December, my puppy is still very sick. I have spent over $2,500 in vet bills and have been to the vet almost every other week. He has seen 3 different vets, all who are unable to diagnose his sickness and believe it is a breeding issue.

If you begin to research this site you will see that they have previously been noticed as a website that hosts puppy mills. I reached out to them regarding my concern to then shortly be told after that I was harassing them. Being a dog lover and animal lover, of course, I want to be sure that I am supporting nothing but breeders who concern is the dogs' health and not just money. It seems that this site is more about money than anything.

The background search they conduct is NOT thorough as much as they claim. They may actually host real breeders but they also have a bunch of puppy mills on their site. Because of this, I would keep away because its a gamble if you'll get a healthy pup or not.  Be sure to research the breeders! I researched several and 4/5 had a previous record of being investigated

Greenfield has been known to host puppy mills - and their screening process is not thorough enough...clearly...

Thats wonderful Jodi that you were able to get a healthy puppy. Sadly, there have many several examples by several people who purchased puppies here.

I've purchased two outstanding gsd's from Chris Glick!

AUTHOR: ryan - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, April 12, 2018

I have been to Chris's residence to pick up puppies on 2 ocassions and purchased 2 puppies from him. I have to say as far as breaders go he does a great job an is by no means a puppy mill. My veterinarian was a breeder of gsd's and upon examination of my new pup guessed that I had paid 3x what I actually had.

Every breeder will eventually have a unhealthy dog and take into consideration the breed of dog that you decided on as some breeds are notorious for health issues. Chris welcomed me to his home and allowed me to inspect his facility at my leisure, while top breeders in my area selling pups for thousands more would only bring dogs into a controlled area and not the behind the scenes area where the dogs are kept (usually in small 1acre homes in tiny runs).

Anyone considering purchasing a new dog from Chris should feel very comfortable that they are getting a great deal on a great dog. Do your research, choose a breed that you are educated on and willing to take responsibility for it's shortcomings, and most importantly inspect the dam and sire to insure your adult dog will be what you are looking for.

If your dog was sooo sick...why haven’t you returned calls from Chris Glick??

AUTHOR: Jodi - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, February 09, 2018

I too got to meet Chris Glick on two separate occasions when I purchased my puppy from him. Both times I was there all the puppies seemed happy and healthy. On my second time there to pick up my puppy I couldn’t of been happier. Sure the puppy was a little stinky, but it wasn’t anything a good bath wouldn’t cure. Chris was very helpful in any questions or concerns I had. In returning home I of course took him to the vet.

My vet examined him thoroughly and said I have a very healthy puppy. My pup is now 7 months old and is very happy, healthy and thriving. I would definitely recommend this breeder. Maybe the person having all the issues with the dog should return calls to the breeder, so some resolution can be made. I found Chris Glick very accommodating. Thanks...just had to vent after seeing the negative comment.

I had a negative experience also with this breeder.

I just filled a report too. I was surprised to see how close in time our experiences are. I reached out and contacted the company, I used Keystone not Greenfield, the response was prompt and nice, I am curious as to if they will continue to work with him because they claim they only have reputable breeders. I think it does no good to reach out to the company, they are benefitting from the sales. If you are interested I would like help getting the attention of the right people who can legally intervene. Also, I find it funny the different breeds of our pups given our Mia was born 10/15/17 and is supposed to be a Cane Corso, aka Italian Mastiff. She may have some in her but she is not pure bred. So you don't have to find my post, we got her she was kept in a barn with a pile of straw to bed, she was covered in her own and horse feces, so smelled and was filthy. She had a large gash on her nose the woman claimed that the momma dog did it, it was extremely swollen and painful, it was scabbed over but oozed pus. Vet said it didn't look like a bite...but who knows. It makes me wonder if was a way to hide her breed, at first I wasn't going to get the breed test but I have changed my mind. Her first few bowel movements were mostly straw. She was breathing abnormally when she slept, I took her to the vet and they diagnosed her with pneumonia. She was also not up to date on her shots. I never interacted with Mr. Glick ever, a young girl responded to my call and her mother was the one who was present when we picked her up. I wonder if this is purposeful tactic. So much has been wrong, I am questioning everything, I do not trust anything they say. I hope you do want to help me get the news out and prevent further harm and problems to puppies and customers.

Interesting..

If you read the report it is NOT against Chris. To help you be correctly informed, I received one call yesterday during my work hours and another today before even waking. Chris and I have always communicated with each other, never have I ignored him. Chris did help me with $280 towards vet bills. My total cost of vet bills for my puppies sickness is now over $3,000.00. This important information for potential buyers to be aware of, as getting a puppy isnt typically this costly. Shot/check-up cots are expected, but not over $3,000 in unexpected sickness costs.

My puppy has been off of antibiotics for the first time since SEPT 28TH (2017)! Now being Jan 11, 2018, it has been an excessive amount of time for a 6-month-old to have been sick. My vet (along with 3 others who he has seen) said his issues are due to the breeder's conditions. This is not me saying this, again, this is professional opinions being provided.

As for the Greenfield website, it is not a credible site as much as you are saying it is. *Clearly, your response is personal, not factual.* For those looking for purchase a puppy from this site, just look it up! You will see many of the "breeders" on this site were actually charged for inhumane conditions for their dogs/puppies. Just search the "breeders" names even on the website. There are many articles stating that there are puppy mills listed on the Greenfield website. So my thoughts of a puppy mill came from all the articles/reviews/charges read online stating that Greenfield site is exactly that.

As many have reported the Greenfield site to the Humane Society, I emailed them  as well regarding the site as well and their response is below:

"We do not recommend purchasing a puppy through classified sites like Greenfield as responsible breeders do not advertise that way.  We do get complaints about breeders linked to Greenfield and similar online classifieds."

Review the sites before purchasing from them:

I know Chris Glick and the owner of Greenfield puppies

AUTHOR: Brenda - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, January 12, 2018

I've known Chris Glick for years and since he doesn't have internet I will stand up for him. He takes excellent care of his dogs and puppies. He was in contact with the person complaining here, he paid vet bills and thought all was well. He has tried to contact her and she does not return his calls.

I also know the owner of Greenfield puppies and he is reputable and honest. The problem is what this woman thinks is a puppymill is anyone who breeds dogs. She was never at Chris Glick's property to see his dogs!!
