GT DIRECT - The FIRM - firmdirect.com - GT Media BAIT & SWITCH False Deceptive Billing Broomfield Colorado

Purchased The WAVE Exercise System on January 05, 2009 by The FIRM (dba GT Media and GT DIRECT) agreed to three equal installments of $36.60 to be debted from my bank account over three month period (with 30 days between billing cycles as agreed). Company charged my account on January 14, 2009 for $36.85, then three minutes later (same day) make a duplicate charge in this same amount of $36.85. When contacted, the customer service rep (phone call forwared to Phillipine Calling Center), stated the second charge was for Vitamins (no previous agreement to purchase vitamins)? I challenged the customer service rep regarding the duplicate charge and stated that I would file a complain with the Better Business Bureau and contact my banking institution. After getting no where with the customer service rep, I contacted my bank and during the phone conversation with my bank, GT DIRECT was attepting to process two additional charges (one for $49.90 and the second for $29.95) at this same time. I instructed my bank to immediately stop payment on any transactions with GT DIRECT (or their processing company) at which time GT DIRECT had actually charged my account for a total of $153.55 over a two-day period for products that I agreed to pay a total of $109.80 (an overcharge of $43.75)! I contacted The FIRM call center once again and explained that I had filed a formal complaint with the BBB in Colorado and their Ohio base shipping/receiving center. The customer service representative (Phillipines) stated that they would "cancel my contract immediately!" BUYER BEWARE - This is a classic Bait & Switch Scam and can be costly to those who don't catch on quickly! Take my advice, do not make the same mistake, this is a scam...
