I purchased a lovely sectional from Bassett Furniture in Newington, CT (very expensive). I also purchased a GUARDSMAN Furniture Protection Plan at the same time in February 2012.

I submitted a claim to GUARDSMAN because I have some spots on my furniture. They wanted to know the origin but I wasn't sure - not being sure whether it was pet stain or a food stain makes my claim - DENIED. WHAT ELSE CAN THE STAINS BE...THEY ARE PLAYING GAMES WITH WORDS SO THEY CAN DENY claims and keep my $249.99. I even spoke with a supervisor to no avail.

I told them after this discussion that the stains were either pet or food stains and they said not being sure of origin disqualifies my claim - DENIED.

THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF.
