  • Gwinnett Place Nissan 2555 Pleasant Hill Rd Duluth, Georgia U.S.A.

Gwinnett Place Nissan They'll agree to a price, give you the car, then call you in 2 days(after you've signed a CONTRACT with them) to say the bank didn't accept you and that your payment (interest) will be higher than what you originally agreed upon, which will increase your payments by approximately $20 per month. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! They are scummy con men lacking true intelligence! Duluth Georgia

My wife and I went to Gwinnett Place Nissan simply shopping around to compare their cars with others to find the best deal possible during these hard economic times. Her only car (a 1999 Ford Taurus w/ 158,000 miles) was no longer a reliable source of transportation, so we wanted to shop around for the best possible car for what we couold afford. We went to Gwinnett Place Nissan and a young salesman approached us immediately. I immediately said to him that we were shopping around and not prepared to make a deal that day no matter what. He was a nice young man who showed us several cars in their inventory and took us for a test drive. I drove the car and liked its overall performance. We agreed on a price of a different car in the lot that was of the same make, model, options, etc. However it was slightly discounted from the one we drove. We liked it and made an offer of the asking price written on its windshield if they included the leather seating interior and told them EXACTLY what the monthly payment that we expected for the car. Of course the young salesman came back with another sale person with a poor excuse of an impression of Jack Nicholson and asked what it would take to get us in the car. I repeated to him several times (I don't think he was very smart) what we were willing to pay and that it was the bottom line, non-negotiable payment. He eventually agreed and left the desk happy as if he had won the "big car sales battle"...until we got up to leave! He freaked and asked where we were going and saying he thought we had a deal. I told him very simply "we have no deal until it's in writing and I'm driving the car". He was upset that we were going to shop around some more instead of signing his deal. So much so that he made rude comments and yelled at me across the sales floor in front of other customers and sales people. I didn't care one bit as I knew he was a low class scummy sales guy who gives all salesmen a bad name. He was actually mad at us and yelling at us saying that "I thought we had a deal?" and "If I offer you $350 per month you're still going to shop around!" and I just laughed and said "well, of course I'm going to shop around for a better deal...if I was stupid enough to take the first deal offered to me I may as well be a car salesman!" We left and after negotiating over the phone they agreed to what we wanted after 24 hours. We signed the deal and because of the credit rating they said it would be $495 per month instead of $425 as we agreed. We said ok and signed the papers for $495 per month, but to include leather interior. They called back 3 days later to say "we had to use a different bank and the payment is an additional $20.00 per month". Having many lawyer and salesmen friends I knew this was BS at its finest. We called back to say that we were going to just give the car back to them since "their" bank didn't approve the loan. They called back within 10 minutes and assured us that our agreed upon payment was secure and there was no need to worry. These guys are nothing but low life, low class, uneducated, scumbag predators that will take the last dollar from their own mother. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAMS! Do not buy from from Gwinnett Place Nissan period! They are all desperate and would sell their mother's grave to get rid of a car. Do not trust them. Believe me, you will get scammed one way or the other!
