I bought model horses from these guys about 10yrs ago. I bought on a regular basis and paid with credit card. I recieved an order from them that I did not place. I immediately emailed them and let them know that I had recieved this model by mistake.
I was pleasant and courteous and was just wanting to return my model for a refund, after all everybody makes mistakes. I was blasted in a return email from them. They basically said that they did not make mistakes and that I did order the model. The were so rude and inappropriate in there language. I could not believe anyone would treat a customer like that.
I informed them that I would be sending the model back. I did send it back and was only given half my money back. They informed me that it was a "restocking fee". Then this company had the audacity to place my emails and conversations with them on a website and make more rude comments(can we say infantile?). The webmaster took it down after only a short while, stating it was inappropriate. Several other people came forward at this time and stated that the same thing had happened to them. I frankly dropped the subject at that point and forgot about it(I guess I have a life).
Now once again, this company is proving that it will continue to wail like a big baby. I had been looking for that hard to find model for my sisters birthday. I looked online for days, but the only only ones that carried this model was this company. I tried to be mature and order from them again, but I am obviously the only grown up. They cancelled my order, which was fine, but once again I was blasted with another rude and hateful email, which I did not deserve. They stated that they"were afraid that they could not exactly get my order right"? Isn't that what a business is supposed to do?? Get the order right???
I am frankly sick and tired of dealing with immature and childish people who have nothing better to do than remember a grudge from a decade ago. James Hunter, you need to grow up or get out of business. People do not make the same mistake I did, twice. Let my mistakes save you alot of grief.

And since there are 8 complaints, I'm not the only one! Obviously somebody lied about doing their homework. Such a pity, I was having fun.

My credit card was charged on December 3rd. On December 6th, a gentleman at H&H told me over the phone that I definitely had a model in their current selection, and that they would be handpicking it and mailing it out in about a week.
It is now December 22nd, and I have not even received a shipping notice. I have tried emailing and calling about half a dozen times. I cannot get a human to pick up the other end of the telephone. And no response to emails.
I am on the verge of filing a fraud complaint with my CC company.
Has anyone else had similar transactions with H&H? What is going on??? This is my first transaction with them, and I have been nothing but disappointed.

As of today, they are still an "F" with BBB, based on 8 complaints, not just mine!
My Ruffian arrived today and I am very unhappy with H & H....this is the first time I have ordered from them as they had the cheapest price for her that I could find and had heard good things about them up until now. She arrived today, almost 2 WEEKS after I had purchased her and I was WAY overcharged for shipping! They charged me $14.00 for shipping?!?!?! Angry, I went to the post office and asked them to tell me what it would cost for me to ship him back with priority shipping AND insurance/tracking number just to see if I was actually over charged......$9.24!
I was charged almost $5.00 MORE for shipping that I was suppoused to be. Second of all I needed a very light shaded one and put that in the "special instructions" box at the end.....she arrived WAY DARKER than the two other Ruffian's I own!!! I ended up being charged $50.00 with shipping for a model that I could have gotton for $35.00 from The Model Trading Post and been happy with! I will NEVER order from or recommend H & H again to anyone!

Another complaint:

I think the person who needs to grow up is yourself. If this company is so great and I am the only person complaining, what's the harm? But we both know this is not the case. It still seems there was nothing more in your statement but more name calling. Wow! Mr. Hunter and myself have not spoke on this subject in over 4 years. I stand by my statements as previously stated. And as of last Friday, they did have an F rating with BBB, I checked. But it's nice that you are attempting to help your friends, but I think by your statements you're doing more harm than good, so it's a good thing you're "not going to speak about it anymore".....

I stand by my statement as true and completely honest. I do run my own business, so I know exactly how customers should be treated. I would never treat anyone like I was treated by this company. I will continue to stand by these facts to assist the public in whatever way I can to prevent more mishaps like mine. Apparently you can't do anything more than name call me. If that's the support this business has, I can understand why they are the way they are....

Also, if these guys are "SOOOO BAD", as you say for yourself, then why are their sales rates so high, and why do they constantly sell out of all their products? Also, right now the Better Busniess Board has rated H & H, currently with a B+, not with an F, as you say so yourself. So, how about YOU stop firing off rude statements and how about YOU do your research instead of myself. Also, there was a little keyword in your statement about how many people have went through the same problem that you have. SEVERAL, was the word. Several people had the same exact issue out of how many that order from this company. I even know some people from Europe who order from here and have not had a single issue. Another thing, go to their website and actually READ their refund policy. It's always better to READ before you WRITE, just like it's better to THINK before you ACT. I bet you 100% that James Hunter is glad to have you not ordering from his company. Do you really think he needs you, a bratty, immature, little-miss-know-it-all, like yourself bringing his company down to the dumps, and telling him how to run his company??
Two words: GROW UP!

Excuse me, but, I have done my research on this company, and it was a very detailed one at that, and I have found NOT ONE complaint besides yours. I only found reviews about how good his company is, and his nice models that he sells. So, you need to lay off the snotnose attitude. You are currently acting like a bratty sixteen-year-old. As I have stated, I have done my research thoroughly before I posted this statement, and have found out that H & H is a very good company. I do not feel like dealing and/or arguing with a person like you no longer, as you are one of those people who are impossible to talk to.
How about you get your standards right first, before you bring down a company that has been around for years?

Do your research before you make a statement palimino. If you type in the company's name in any search engine, you will find similar complaints like mine with H&H winners circle. I have long decided to let this go and move on, even though my credit card information was "stolen" after using their website the last time. These guys are also given an "F" by the Better Business Bureau. I am not the only one having these complaints. Maybe in the last ten years, these guys have got themselves together. For the publics sake, I hope so. However, do your research, before shooting off your mouth on something you obviously no nothing about. If you have great service with these guys, good for you. But there are those of us out there who have not, and the complaints are all the same, unauthorized charges, rudeness, and inappropriate behavior. I will not use them ever again, nor will anyone I know. My sister shows model horses all over the US, I make sure she passes on the word also. She has also encountered similar complaints. If it takes me being a "whiny toddler" to get the word out about these guys, then so be it. Everything I stated was true and to the point.

I highly disagree with Mischala's statement about H & H Winner's Circle. Her statement is absolutely false, in my opinion, as myself , and a few close friends (who show and collect Breyer Model Horses) have been ordering from the H & H company for about 10 years now. Mischala is the ONLY person I have heard complain like a little whiny toddler about H & H Winner's Circle so far. I have had not a single problem with this company. Their models come on time (and orderly), and not one time has a model came to me in a order from them that I did not place. They answer emails in a very nice matter, and the people in the company are overall, very nice. H & H Winner's Circle has even actually held models for me, before they were about to go out of stock. Overall, I do not understand Mischala's, rather rude statement about this company.
Also, I am rather disgusted at immature, incompetent, and hateful people trying to bring down a company that has been around for years. Grow up! I would absolutely adore to see yourself run a business like James Hunter does. By this complaint, all I see currently is immaturity. Quite frankly, I think that we, ourselves are the only grown ups here. Not you Mischala.
Overall, I find Mischala's review to be quite phony and down right fake in my opinion, as I have stated in the beginning, she is the ONLY person out of the 54 that I know who buy Breyer Models from H & H to file a complaint.

This person's claim is totally false. We have on record the exact model she ordered and was sent. We made no mistake.
Mischala Walker is not telling the truth that we only gave her half of her money back. Our return policy is clearly stated on our website as a restocking fee of 20% for non-defective merchandise.
This person posted publicly at about this transaction and I rebutted showing a copy of her original order proving that we did send her the exact model she ordered online.
She placed another order with us and we canceled the order as we wanted no other dealings with her so that we did not have to subject ourselves to her ridicule and malicious nature again.
I am the one that did not want to make the mistake in dealing with her again.
