I recently purchased a car from Hanlees Toyota in Richmond, Ca.

The salesman was actually nice, but the real story is with the dishonesty came when I had to finance my vehicle. The con man name is Mark M. I went in there and I told him all I wanted to purchase was the gap ins. He told me he had to tell me about the other options, it was his job, ok I understood. He told be about a 2yr. or 24,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and lowjack system.

The cost was close to 4,000 dollars. I told him I don't want these options. He then tells me my interest rate is going to be 13.95 %. Wow thats high! Then he tells me what if I can lower your interest rate to 10.29 and lower your payment a few dollars and the options I offering to you won't cost you nothing. He shows me on a paper 54 month at 10.29.

I tell him know a red flag pops up in my head I continually tell no. He finally say what if I was to lower you monthly payment few dollars more and give you 9.90% financing. I tell him no. He than tells me he not getting nothing for doing this and he trying to help me and then he says to me "what you don't understand english, you are the only one that hasn't taken this package in few years I have been doing this." Then also stated are you stupid.

I remind you i'm a very calm person and was about to get up and knock the living sh** out of this racist man. My wife walks in I hold my composure and tell him well I just refinance with another loan company, I really want to walk out, I kept thinking I have a good job and wife don't do it.

Then he send a hispanic rep in to ask me, by the way Mark assumed I was of Hispanic decent. NO. He was much nicer and professional and was willing to work on the price. This was actually good because I started to calm down. Finally Mark came back printed the contract and the payment was at 47 months. This is the dishonesty he runs, he was going to extend my payments by 7.

I file a complaint with the B.B.B. good luck they're not going to do much. Mark said some bad remarks about me, which made be to believe he is racist. I am willing to take a polygraph to back my story and I want nothing from the BBB because I wanted to show, it's about the priciple.

This is the begin I found out my friend bought a car from up their and guess what he took it and I explained to him that it wasn't free he really pissed and this was a different finance guy! wow

I'm in the process of refinancing at a lower rate, basically if you add on apx. 4,000 dollars you can get a lower interest rate. I'm thinking about other ways to pursue this. Maybe an attorney since BBB really dissapointing. I think this definately merits a class action. Hey, the number don't lie, investigate.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

that video on the web, okay?

It appears that the BBB will give anyone an 'A' rating as long as they pay the fee, wouldn't you agree?

Good luck to you!

Sorry Walter you had to endure what occurred at Hanlee's Hilltop Toyota. The finance guy's name is Mark Maines and he is as KINKY as the come. The best thing to have done was to drive down to DMV with your contract in hand and file a formal complaint against Mark Maines. You could have demanded an investigation. DMV would have looked into this felonious allegation and may have slapped handcuffs on MR. knowitall Mark....

Good luck....

Next time, get your financing before you ever walk into the dealership, so that you would be able to tell the linance man to kiss your southern end while you are facing north. And for heavens sake, walk out whenever the dealership people play games. Why is 'that particular car' so d**n important to you that you are willint to tolerate mistreatment and good cop / bad cop games??

Peep my posting Walter, Just for you!

Walter thanks for posting your rip Off Report. it will give many other car buyers a GOOD HEADS UP!

Makes me sick to see how many "F&I CLOWNS" operate just to pop an extra buck out of a car buyer. Many car dealers in this country try the same crap this dealer tryed on you.

I get upset because I know AG's will do NOTHING to them for scamming car buyers. Want proof? Peep these 2 below Rip Off Reports. Both have GREAT PICTURES!

I tell car buyers make about 6 monthly payments then contact the lender that your dealer set you up with and ask for a copy of the credit application that they got on hand.

Tell your lender that your dog chewed up your "day Planner" and you are trying to rebuild it and you need some contact info that you used as referances on your credit application when you bought your car.

When you get a copy of the credit app from your lender, you might get a BIG FAT surprise in the mail.

The Fat Surprise might have some NEW hand writting on your credit app. When you buy your next car after you fill out the credit app and sign it, ask for a copy and see how they tell you you CAN'T have a copy.

If they say you can't have a copy of the credit app that you filled out and signed. Maybe they have a can of "White Out" they have plans to use after you go home. It's called "Banking Fraud"
