Hanns G ripoff on rebates Fremont California

I bought a Hanns G lcd screen in the thanks giving sale last year(2007) from OFICE DEPOT which came with an $80 manufacturer's rebate and $30 in office depot rebates. the former (the least one obviously) arrived first in January. manufacturer's one hasn't given me any information for the last five or so months albeit numerous inquiring and emails.

so upon going to office depot , they tell me they have no say on manufacturer's rebates, and forwarded me to the manufacturer's rebate issuing site, whose information said that they did receive the rebate request like in january last year, but have not yet received funds necessary to issue the reimbursements .
i was then forwarded to another company that deals with the actual finances, who in turn did not return various inquests. and the torment went on.

i have just been driven around like a rag doll, something i should have had to be exposed to, since i wasn't at any fault. i sent in my forms in time, and they simply never even communicated at any time, and i feel frustrated that companies operating in the usa should blatantly rip off innocent customers for whats theirs.

the thought of knowing that there are companies out there that make a living swindling people into buying stuff on rebates if they do not plan to reimburse.
am sure i would have gladly shelled out the extra money for some other model had i known this would have been the case, six months on.

i am sure there are hundreds of others like me, so please speak out against this theft!
