Harris Teeter has changed the way they take coupons. If you have a coupon for an item that is on sale at the store for Buy one Get One Free. Even if the coupon is followed to the letter....ie in date, same box, brand etc. They will not take it, if you get only one item.
That item rings 1/2 price and if you have a coupon that makes it cheaper.GREAT!example toothpaste would have cost me .49 after discounts. They will not take a coupon. You are forced to buy 2items before they take the coupon. This is wrong. There are no signs saying this, no ads in the paper. nothing. I was told this at the register. Today everbody is trying to save money. I am not trying to get anything free. I am trying to raise a family on one income. When a husband is laid off and you have kids. You try to save and make ends meet. If I had known the policy before going in the store, I would not have gone.
If they had signs,ads anything I could have avoided this. This seems to be a company out for itself and the managers are wanting the bonus. I will never shop at Harris Teeter again.

it says "Buy one get one free". It doesn't say 50% off item. Yes the price works out as you say but you're not following the coupon when you want half off. Go ahead and get the second item for free and you're still providing the items your family needs.
