HBI Group Never delivered what was promised. Sent offer to another home buyer by mistake. Houston Texas

We contacted them in April 2014 and was excited to find a company that would help us with a home mortgage.  We were promised many many things that were never delivered.

We made our first offer after giving them a total of $2,500.00.  We never heard anything for about 2 weeks, when we contacted them, they said they had sent the offer to another home buyer by mistake.  Really?

Then we told them due to their mistake, the home had been placed in auction.  We asked if this was allowed and they told us yes they would bid on it on our behalf.  But we were only allowed to bid up to a certain amount.

Well we did not win the auction,not to our surprise.  The home went to auction again, we asked them to bid on the house once again.  This time they told us we would have to give them an additional $2,500.00 because the policy had changed.  Wrong again.  The policies are the same as they have always been.  We have contacted the site where the auction took place and they never bid on this home for us whatsoever.

I have emailed them and sent them copies of all documentation where they were in the wrong requesting our money back and still have not heard back from them.

We have filed a complaint with the FTC and will be filing suit if this does not get taken care of immediately.  We warn all people who are in a similar situation to NOT trust these scammers as they do NOT deliver anything that is promised.

Hopefully we will not have to result in a lawyer, but if we have to that will be our final step.
